What did you do to your mini today?

Off... did you have any idea you would find this when driving the Mini to this point? Was there anything off/different? Or a total surprise?
About a week before I noticed it was kind of jetting feeling down shifting. The it started to get hard going into reverse. Like the clutch was not quit right. The throw out bearing was about to let go. It was in bad shape. So I had to order a new fork along with the bushing an pin for the arm. Going to cut off old arm. The take it to a machine shop to drill out. I don't have the right stuff to do it correctly.
Well my parts will be here in the morning. I was able to go to a machine shop in town an have the pin removed. Boy did it kick his ***. Great guy only charged 30 dollars. Same me a ton of time.
Well I hope to be done tomorrow. Fingers crossed 🤞.

Well my parts came in the morning at 7:30. I was there waiting. Got back to Panama city beach at 9:30. After a lot of sweat an a few naughty words. I got the job done. Man the clutch feels like butter. I first pushed the clutch an it was super soft. Thought I had no clutch pressure. So I stuck it in 1st gear an just glides into gear. Love it.

Is there a recommended break in period?

Gotta tell ya- I admire your dedication and stamina. It appears you're not a well-experienced mechanic, yet you take on these intimidating projects.
I've been wrenching on cars and bikes since I was 8, and am inspired by your efforts.
Hang in there.
Alternator
Waterpump
Tensioner
Updated oil filter housing
Valve cover gasket
Thermostat
Motor mounts
Timing chain
Rocker arms
Oil pan an gasket
Clutch
Flywheel
Rear mail seal
All 4 hub bearings
Rotors
Inner an outer ball joints
Inner tie rod ends
New power steering lines
Strut mount front an rear
Lower front arm bushing
An other odd an ends..
Got to love Mini Coopers.
Drove it like I stole it. Well, ok, it's a loaner because my 2017 Clubman is in the dealership for a bunch of routine work and the MAF sensor which apparently died. Bright side, it wasn't the Dinan Elite causing the code, and I always enjoy seeing what the new model year has for changes. Not really sure I'm going to like the new digital gauges system, as at night there's a hella annoying reflection in the top left of the windshield.
I have been working on cars for almost 30 years.

I received my M7 billet aluminum catch can from ECS Tuning a few days ago and put it on my car immediately! The quality is incredible and I'm mad at myself for not getting this thing sooner. I had to remove a clip for the wiring harness and a clip for an unknown hard line; both were on the side of the stock air box and both were scratching the CC. Other than that, no issues so far.
Hard line clip
Wiring harness clip
Tight fit
The harness is now zip tied to the hard line and the CC is holding the hard line down
I was waiting to get the catch can before changing my oil, so I changed it today. I had never changed my own oil before (I'm a teenager) and I now understand why the Mini mechanic near me charges so much for an oil change. It took two socket extensions just to reach the oil filter cap. I used Castrol GTX Magnatec 5W-30 ($20 for 5 qts on amazon) and a Mann filter. I also got a magnetic drain plug from ECS and it was HILARIOUS trying to put that thing in without it sticking to the pan itself. That little magnet is IMPRESSIVE.

So what clutch did you end up getting? I don't need one yet but have 86k miles on the mini right now so who knows. I was planning on going with a single mass flywheel instead of the dual mass stocker. Still doing research. I don't mind a little extra vibration and all that. It's not like I'm drive a super luxury Mercedes or anything

@njaremka
The top dash is a custom job, I purchased a used dash top and had a local shop source the leather and wrap it to match the JWC/GP OEM look.
The bottom half was stock on my R57HighGate; the wood parts from NAM and eBay and the JCW gauges faces from EBAY.
I am still working on the Oil Gauge and phone charger/stand solution; more winter projects.
