OK, so it was really yesterday, but installed (ok, helped install--some guys from the local MINI club came over and we all worked on it) front upper strut mounts from Ireland Engineering to replace the originals with their dry-rotted and cracking bushings. The IE mounts look a lot beefier than the stock units.

MUCH nicer ride now.

The front end feels a lot more solid. Haven't gone for a good twisty run yet, so I can't yet comment on the change in handling the extra negative camber provides.

C ya,
Dutch

HID Low Beam Conversion

Installed an 8000K H7 HID low beam conversion in my '02 MCS. Great lighting upgrade, easy to install other than finding a good place to install the ballasts. There have been discussions on some of the threads about proper cutoff when switching to HID's. I found the cutoff's to be very sharp with the HID's with the stock housings, so there shouldn't be an issue with blinding on coming drivers.

Had a nail removed from my tire and a patch put on my run flat. Will it hold? I hope so, these tires are expensive!

It'll be just fine. No matter what they tell you, run flats are not different from regular tires, when it comes to patchability.

Gave mine a nice wash, finally clayed the spot where 'Cooper S' badge was to get rid of all the residue and ordered the belt line removal kit. Now, I only need to get the grilles replaced to get rid of all the chrome!

Tossed dealer plates, installed the official ones, took the time to add my own kayaking plate frames and three grille badges (two flanking rear plate, one on the grill). The Me-ification continues...

The badges were from GoBadges, and I gotta shout out that they tossed in a shamrock "fast and lucky" badge for free in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Thoughtful!

Well I wish I could say it was a day, but it was actually two and a half. Put on 15% pulley, CAI, new coil, wires, plugs, and Magna flow cat back. Ended up cracking my valve cover and awaiting a replacement to arrive.

Finally finished my first brake job with install of EBC Red Stuff rear pads. Only 2 weeks (!) for the whole thing due to a variety of aggravating problems and newbie jitters. I take lots of breaks, too. LOL

A 4 wheel alignment & new serpentine belt.

When my MINI was new I hit a mourning dove & it crashed into the hood scoop. Guts all over the intercooler. Not a fun clean up.

Installed new 15% Craven pulley, colder plugs, new OEM wires, one ball mod, K & N CAI, new Sumitomo tires on ASA AR3 wheels, painted rotors red, and finally....had it dynotuned. Final numbers were 211 hp at 7k rpm....that is all the stock injectors could dish out!

You have been really busy today! All I managed to do was install my helix SSK
