Awesome and detailed story NOW(5pm EST 4/20) on the Science Channel HD about the car transport ship FAUST. Tons of MINI shots and very interesting look at how our cars get from Southampton to NJ.

 

Damn! I wish I'd seen this earlier. Hope they re-run it... my new mini is on the Faust now!

 

It was a pretty amazing special! A very detailed look at the entire shipping process. I wish I had seen it a few months ago when I ordered mine. You can probably search for it on your DVR/Tivo as they generally run those programs many times. I think the show was called "Mega Ships." I'll take a look again. I saved it.....

Btw, congrats on your new MINI!

 

The show is called "Mighty Ships" (the episode is titled FAUST)and according to my DVR guide the episode isn't scheduled to be on in the next few days but the show itself is. Eventually they will run it again. Just record all the "Mighty Ships" episodes. Sorry I couldn't find out more.

 

Thanks, and yeah, I was just scrolling through my DVR guide and nothing in the next week. I'll keep an eye out.

 

Just checked and in Canada this "Mighty Ships" episode is playing on Friday April 23, 2010 @ 8:00am EDT on "Discovery Channel" but not "Discovery HD"

Have my PVR set to record. May have to wait for a 'bad weather day' to watch.

I've been waiting for this show come around again as I remember seeing it advertised about a year ago but this was B.M. (Before Mini).

Not available anywhere in the states, well it's not listed on the science channel website within a month. It looks like for you Canucks you can watch it right off http://watch.discovery.ca/ but it's blocked for anyone with a non-Canadian IP Address. Which of course is offensive. If I figure out how to get a copy, I'm so distributing it around the net for free.

 

That's awesome! My MINI is on the Faust right now, that would be awesome to own a copy of! I don't even own a TV, though...

Missed this post. I guess that's why I can see it! I work in smartphone software and currently using one of my company's Telus phones tethered to my computer.

 

It's on quite often, I've seen it a couple times, at like 5 AM when theres nothing else on.
