Hey Octane Guy... What are those wheels and tires? Is your Clubman lowered? Maybe it just looks lower than mine in the photo. BTW the black lights I mentioned come stock/OEM on the WC50 Special Edition cars.

I'm not lowered yet..but I got H&R Street Performance coilovers in transit..UPS says they will arrive tomorrow. I think the angle you take the photos affect

The wheels are discontinued EdgeRacing.com Flik Bullets. The tires are Nitto Invos in 225/45 R17.

You can see how I modded these wheels here on Flickr
http://www.flickr.com/photos/octaneg...7604116553049/

I had to drill them out from 12mm to 14mm because of lug bolt sizing changes from the R53 to the R55. Also had to add the factory TPMS sensors.

I would think those WC50 lights would be pretty hard to come by..probably much like the GP where you need a VIN to order parts? I dunno...but thanks!

Those look cool. You could even include any trim rings around the speakers, shifter console, etc. You did the speedo ring; don't forget the tach ring. Maybe even the stereo pillars.

re: tach ring
yeah I got lazy, lol. I'm looking more for accents. Don't want to over power the interior. Here's what my R53 interior looked like for those that don't remember. I'm thinking the MFSW buttons might be interchangeable. I have a broken set that I'll test out and see if they fit or not.

Here's what my R53 looked like and where I'm headed with the R55 thought maybe not as far, lol.

Decided to paint my calipers red and the rotor hats black today. At first I was thinking why would I want to paint the stock rotors red? Then I remembered that our stock brakes are the same as the red JCW brakes on the first gen!

Oh yeah and I passed the break-in period too, lol.

What type of paint did you use for the calipers and rotors? Did you remove them from the car or what? Details please?

Duplicolor Ceramic High Temp Caliper Paint. I left everything in place and masked it off with tape and a plastic trash bag.

I put 5 coats of paint on the calipers and 2 coats on the rotor hats.

I used Brake Cleaner to clean off the parts to be painted. Used a wire brush to help. After repeating this several times, I sanded the parts with 320 wet/dry paper and once again rinsed everything off with Brake Cleaner. Then I masked off the parts I didn't want painted. I painted the rotor hats first with 2 coats of black..always use thin coats. Then I covered the rotor with a plastic bag, and painted the calipers. I did tape off all the rubber seals, pads, anything I didn't want to get paint on.

The red paint I used

The black paint

The Cleaner

With the tape removed off the hub

Because I only had one jack, I did one wheel at a time. I started at about 12:30noon and finished by 7pm.

I sprayed directly from the can. I also touched up using a brush and a plastic cup that I sprayed the paint into.
Hope that helps!

You're welcome. Remember you can spray a new coat within 10 minutes. You have to finish layering within 1 hour. Because of the heat, and I put a fan to help dry it, I was layering every 5 to 10 minutes and have no runs or drips in the paint. Make sure to clear the nozzle after every use. This stuff dries quick and hard.

Today Windigo Independent BMW and MINI here in Anaheim Hills did the work to install my H&R Street performance coilovers, Ireland Engineering fixed camber plates, IE adjustable sway bar, IE lower control arms. The ride is great so far! Very compliant yet stable and sure. Will be putting on a couple hundred miles tomorrow, but so far, it's feeling great.

Thanks! I agree! With the suspension finished now, it's time to work on some exterior "red" trim details. Maybe get a DDM street intake while I'm at it. Wondering if Way will have them at MITM/MTTS....

Mushadd did the lights on his R53 the way you photoshopped yours. I'd go on ahead and do it if I were you. For one, it'll go with your current red accents. And two, it just looks so damn sick!!! But the car is coming along nicely!!!
