General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
Since I absolutely LOVE the thread "What did you do to your MINI today", I thought I'd start this thread as a variation on a good theme. Obviously based on this entire website MINI ownership is quite special and emotional. I think a lot of us can say that, until we owned a MINI, we never felt this way about any of our other vehicles {well, at least I can}. So, here goes:
After a falling out (ok, a fight or "disagreement") with my husband, I took my MINI out shopping. About 2 minutes after I got in her, started her up (puurrr), I started feeling much better, and my mood improved tremendously . The more I drover her, the better I felt about things.
She made me smile with joy. I took her for a romp in this cool Pacific NW spring morning before anyone was awake. Sunroof open, sport mode on, and heated seats. It made my day
Took us to Sonic for a Slushie and a LimeAde!! Missed Happy Hour though!!
Btw Giggles...I L@VE this thread!!
Thanks, RJ!!!
Giggles got me to work in her usual sporty fun way!! We never fail to get lots of looks, whether due to my checkered accessories or my "Actual Size" decal on her sweet boot!!

Im so proud of my MINI, she makes me a better driver. She helped me "zip" around a cyclist on a twisty narrow 2 lane road, during rush hour traffic, and zip back into my lane and nicely avoid the on-coming traffic in the other lane
Got me to work on time, even though I had to turn around and go back to get my cell phone Sport Button to the rescue....grinned the entire way in, as there was very little traffic in my way....awesome
my mini made my weekend down at the Jersey Shore that much more enjoyable. Honestly, most of my enjoyment came from the 2 hour drive there and back this weekend with the sunroof/windows open and the music blasting down the Garden State Parkway for 105 miles each way, (which I should note, I topped off my tank before I left, and it was still on full-no fuel bars unlit on the dash when I arrived at my destination, 105 miles away from my starting point =) )
there is no day when i get in my coop and dont smile. No matter what it always makes me smile! :D What is it about this car that i feel so connected and disconnected when i walk away from it? a few days ago i took it up the mountains through otis MA, top down curvy roads, 80 degrees outside! it was the best day of may! for me.

I like your post. I have NEVER felt this connected to a car. The MINI, by virtue of its history, name, and looks just exudes a unique personality. Yea, its a car, but it definitely has personality, which makes it MORE than a car. After 4 monthsof ownership and I still look in on her in my garage, and am very careful where she gets parked...
