That'll teach you to give out something other than 10's when you complete surveys about the dealership!

I agree with ACE - that is just wrong.

I feel your pain -- I've been stuck in a Camry for two weeks while the dealer is fixing a couple of items that needed repair before I bought my MCSc.

It's a secret ploy. They know you will be so happy to get back in your car, that you won't think twice about gladly paying whatever the bill ends up being.

Well since you already know how to drive a MINI, now you will get a chance to learn what it's like to pilot the ship that brought it across the Atlantic! Let us know how many nautical miles per gallon you get. Also, careful going around turns, I hear they tend to list to the starboard side.

Jesus, what a nightmare. My Mini dealer has only given me Minis for loaners but back when I had my saturn sky, that dealer would put me in whatever crap GM car they had lying around. I got to drive every POS GM car/boat/SUV/behemoth/rattletrap/bomb/rustbucket that GM made.

The Saturn warranty specified that they were supposed to provide a comparable car but since there were no other cars comparable to the sky, all I was able to get was whatever bottom of the line GM car they had in stock. I got a ton of chevy cavaliers and HHRs. Got a couple of Impalas too. I hated driving all of them.

My take is, if you buy from them they try to put you in a MINI. . I bought used and always end up in a minivan or similar :/

loaner taurus BLOWS lol. My stepsister's 2011 cooper was in the body shop recently for ~3 weeks, and she went through 3 loaners, the first being a Kia Sorrento with a horrible paint/blending job (there had to have been some serious previous body damage, it was in horrible shape), then she had a brand new 2011 Chrysler 200 convertible which almost seized up on her while driving and leaked some fluid that stained our driveway (she returned it after not even a day because of it's issues), and then she finished with a full size chevy impala. Needless to say, she was glad to have her MINI back.

first time I took my bought off the lot '02S in for service the dealer was out of loaners so they paid for a rental.

They gave me a Lincoln Town Car! Arriving at work and needing to park in my underground garage space I was looking for a bow thruster and several line handlers not to mention a tug boat to help me park!

Tristan was just in the shop, I got a Rav-4, not exactly my sort of car. Previously, I got a Mazda 5, I hated that.

Hahah.. I chuckled out loud, nice.

That is a shame, what a car to be stuck with!

Every loaner I have had was a MINI with the exception of one day I got a rental, Toyota Prius. I brought it back the same day when the loaner returned to get back in a MINI, even if it was a "justa"

Talk about boats! My car is in my garage and gonna get fixed tomorrow. I have had to drive my husband's 2006 Saturn Ion for the past two weeks! Not a loaner, but it still sucks! It feels like cruise ship!

I got my mini back this afternoon. Went home, grabbed my dog and we went for a ride. Sometimes I can not get him out of the passenger seat

Glad i'm not the only one with a boat loaner. I have another car, but driving a loaner is like a rental car. Drive the bejeasus out of it, return it full of gas.

New Chevy Aveo. Lol Similar to a Justa. Sorry. On that note I'd probably trade my car in for a 06' MCS or Justa +cash right about now.

My mini is crossing the pond as I write this. My MA told me I would always get a mini loaner. After reading these posts it would seem you get whatever they have hanging out at the stealership.

We had a rental Taurus this summer, loved the car. It was powerful, roomy, felt nice to drive, and it honestly made me feel like a boss. If it weren't for the fact that you could get a 3 year old 5 series for the same price, I'd honestly consider one for a family cruiser.

I bought the car from Carmax, I'm sure mini would have given me a mini. The Taurus wasn't that bad after a few days. Very easy to drive, but may have been Stockholm syndrome :P
