I haven't posted here in a while. I ended up keeping my MINI, mostly to fund a new Vespa for myself

No more white wheels? Thought perhaps you were going to re-do them...they looked pretty good!

I was going to re-do them in that new vintage-gold, but I can't decided 'cause those white wheels looked really good!

The gold would be great. I actually want gold wheels for my PW. I'm getting a set of Rotiform BLQ's and I think I may have them done in gold.

if you want to know...under the quick reply box at the bottom of the page, click on "go advanced". scroll down to "additional options" and you'll see "attach files". click on "manage attachments" and you can add photos that way.

Hey! This is my car lol.

Someone stole my door cover at school, as a replacement I picked one up at Pep Boys/Autozone with a similar diameter and bent it to shape. It's supposed to be chrome, but I ended up painting it graphite.

Sorry if this has been covered already.

I've got a 2013 Clubman, Green Park version (pepper white with green top). You know that old legend that black cars show dirt more than white cars? There's no way that's true. It's been a snowy winter in Wisconsin, with lots of salt on the roads, and my car usually looks like it's caked in mud, especially the back, where the road grime gets kicked up. At least it encourages me to have it washed often.

Whenever I'd wash my car after the winter months, the color would become lighter by 2-3hrs shades. It was gross. I never thought my car would be that dirty.

Corollary: New cars show dirt more than old cars.

Hyde Park Edition (Chocolate Top and stripes). Pepper white looks better than most cars when dirty and really, really shines when clean. The only complaint I have is the rear doesn't stay clean very long.

Yeah the proximity of the rear wheels to the boot sucks for keeping the rear as clean. Thats what I hated the most about my MINI. Though, I highly recommend that Iron Out stuff for all the rust colored specks that stick to the body.

Anyone have any pictures of a PW with red wheels (maybe red accents too)?

Kinda like a 911 GT3RS.

I've got the typical PW with black wheels/accents now and I'm already a little bored with it.

PW with red wheels does not look that good. Not being pure white does play issue with the gt3rs look.

I'd appreciate if you could post that photo, I'd love to see it. I understand it may not look as good as a more pure white, but I'm still contemplating doing it. I've always been one to try different things that many people don't like anyways.

Thanks!

You might want to try a dark red considering that shade looks better with PWs. Bright reds tend to compliment whites more.

Good idea, thanks.

I'm considering a few different colors, but I figured red would work well.

The right shade of red combined with PWs makes a gorgeous and complimentary match made in car heaven. You might have to play around with paint swatches from Lowe's or Home Depot to get the best match.

Good luck!! When you make your final decision and execute it, post photos!!
