Normal? No. Common? Too much so. The same happened to me. Tell your dealer to fix it.

Checking in too - somehow missed this thread (no idea how) - wife has dubbed the Mini "Roscoe" .... so Roscoe was delivered 10/6/11 - 6,000 miles later and still love it - easily the most fun car I've ever owned.
Recently had the tint done and a little bit of vinyl on the a-fender area.
and the first picture taken during the break-in period on a short drive up to Red Rocks;

Had a great time seeing all the different MINI's and one mini (it was so cute lol). Entered Winston in the car show (didn't win, oh well). I expect to WIN with WINston next year, as I have big plans for him
I will upload photos soon.
How is everyone?

Nice pic! I love red rocks. We're you at MITM in winter park this past weekend and are you a member of MINI5280?

Yay. I can finally officially join this group.
Picked up "Prince Charlie" over the weekend and have been very busy practicing driving him.(First time driving manual)
Still need to make my launch and shift more gentle and less choppy. Any advice?
Here is a pic of him at the dealership. I will post some more pics after putting the strips and tints on him.

Beautiful, congratulations! Just go slow in learning the manual. The MINI's are very forgiving when it comes to ease of manual transmission (at least I think so).
