Perhaps you just need to turn your music down to hear it.
+2

I'm hearing it mostly at lower speeds when I let off the gas.

I'm averaging 31.5 mixed driving.
The best way to tell is to zero the gas mileage counter when your at home and then go by what it is from there. Idling at stop signs lights etc. will lower it. Seeing that you don't take Winston in the rain you probably haven't had very much stop and go driving. You'll average better gas mileage with the manual by a little bit as well. I get 97 going downhill!

It's really nice to put about $40 in the tank and its full (or damn close). The other cars we have, that's just a sip. I'll have to check to see what I'm getting tomorrow but whatever it is, it's way better than our alternatives. I too do mixed driving (hwy city) although at times the hwy driving is just like city driving -lights.

My wife's MCS Cabrio w paddle shifters does pop and burble in sport mode which she calls "fart mode". My CM All4S with the 6 speed manual doesn't really make a difference in sport mode at least sound wise. Performance wise, big difference. Anyone else out there with CM's feel the same?

i agree, i don't hear any either, but third parties outside the car report lots of the infamous pop and burble from my cms all4 ... the other evening, i detoured thru a covered parking structure and then i could hear the pop and burble ... must be something with the shape and/or size of the cms that we don't hear it much inside the car

Agreed! I'm thinking of replacing my daily driver suv avg 19mpg on another daily driver suv avg 18mpg good thing I don't drive far in the winter when I would use it most

PMKNHD, she will love it that all of us are using her term for sport mode! No royalties needed, not sure how I would collect anyway!

Just passed 1200 miles, so break in is over and I can unleash the full power. Its nice, he makes an interesting noise around 5500 revs.

In other news, we may be settling on a name.
