Members,

Bumper protection strip:
Black, I haven't seen one of these on any MINI out there (at all).
I've got a couple of scratches on the bumper already, not bad for being a couple of years old.
Did you find this worth while getting?
If you do have it or did have it what do you have to {Report} ???
Pictures of your's would be great if you can Post them.
Getting ready to order it so would really like to have some feedback first.

The description leaves something to be desired.
My thing is the Top of the MCS has scratches on it right now.
The only way to completely resolve this is to have a repaint for the rear bumper complete so it will all match.
The suggestion this afternoon was to look and see if there was a (Bumper Protector) available?
Which would completely cover those scratches easily.
The scratches were on it when I purchased it in May of this year.
(See signature)
If you don't mind taking a few minutes can you describe more what the Protector is ?
Trust me I'm not questioning you at all but a piece of tape for about $50.00 Dollars seems a bit much.
Does the Dealer have a more substantial bumper cover ???
Or aftermarket versus this one you know of ???

I was hoping as many members that are on this site would have some input.
But I guess not .......

I have the NGP Racing one on my '12 Countryman as well. It's beautifully made and matches the grain on the wheel arches and rockers. Looks exactly like a factory piece and installs in 5 minutes. They make them for the Hardtop and Clubman too.

Protector strip
hi...I refer to the part as made for the R53, they may well have designed a more effective one for the R56, but mine is very similar to a strip of non-skid tape like you would put on a stair tread, or in your bathtub to prevent slippage.
It's a rolled up strip of material with adhesive on one side that you "float " into place on soapy water and then press down with a squeegee. If you can find a more substantial item that wraps around the bumper top a bit you will be happier.

I really appreciate all your feedback.
I will check out the different ones and make a decision.
I purchased this 2011 MCS in May 2013 and the prior owner must have slid some things across it that {Scratched} the top surface.
The rest of the rear bumper looks new so I really don't wish to have it all painted.
Much better solution to simply add the appropriate {Bumper Protector}.
Thanks again for all your "instant" feedback.

Thanks everyone for your help.
It is a done deal just placed the order.
Thanks again for you time and assistance.
I think this is the one to get compared to the others.
I like the way it attaches using those two existing screws and two way tape.
Plus it covers the whole area for protection.
