Your "pending" MINI projects...

Seems like I always have projects that are, not exactly finished, or waiting for the right time...or is it just me.
Wondering what other owners have "pending" MINI projects, or ones that are still in process.
My pending projects:
-short throw shifter adapter in bag; don't feel like dealing with moving exhaust
-springs, struts, camber plates, sway bar, under body strut system, bump stops in garage; waiting for spring
-electrical module to aim passenger mirror down in reverse; don't want to deal with electrical
-SS brake lines; waiting to do brakes and get speed bleeders (waiting to bleed system)
-FES shift light; haven't connected wire for speed and don't own a Windows computer
-Canton coolant tank; Canton will be replacing, just have to send to Canton
-driver front speaker is rattling; installed MB Quarts, but had to modify speaker brackets
-luminous ring is flickering, had LED installed, need to replace
-tensioner belt safety and bushings, in box; haven't gotten to it
-parking brake chrome handle chrome part broken; hasn't bothered me enough to replace, yet
...and multiple parts to sell/clean/toss.
oh, and my visors are sagging, not sure what to do...

My list is pretty straightforward at this point:
1- Install red pinstripes over the black ones on my bonnet stripes
2- Install red Mobil pegasus stickers -- oh, wait, gotta find them first!!

oh the things my baby is waiting for... Coilovers, Micheline PSS 215's if I can run them, Rear sway, rear strut, inter cooler diverter, mishimoto radiator, madness manifold intake, AFE intake, invidia exhaust, roll bar(with sunroof), cross brace (doesn't hurt for extra support, front tow hook (only for track days since I legally need a front license plate, auto ups, fuel cap (since mine didn't have the chrome cap), shifter cover(don't like the boot look), 4 point harness for driver and passenger, xenon replacements (just time to replace), aftermarket radio (happening in a few days), amp for speakers, M7 C wing, canards, and M7 splitter, 215hp ecu tune, I want to add 4 piston calipers on the front and back but still unsure on what to get.

I have a bench full of parts for the R53 to get too. hopefully I can clear a few over the holidays:

1. Stoptech Rotors/pads/sensors
2. Ziza LED reverse lights/ Fog light bulbs / Front Marker lights to install
3. Replica JCW bonnet stripes to install
4 Belt line blackout kit

All I need is time...but we all know how that goes.

I need to do a refresh/overhaul on my suspension bits - shocks, struts, whatever else is stretched out or in need of replacing.

Also hoping to do some new stripes this spring as the current set are cracking badly.

At some point I have a bad oil leak I need to track down and fix.

Double-check with your sanctioning bodies about those. Many clubs do not allow them--I'm not fond of them in general myself, either. It's easy for them to ride up into your gut, where the lap belt won't do you much good. The five- or six-point restraints are far preferred. But they often have to be combined with a seat specifically designed to go with multi-point belts.

This thread should be renamed the "While I'm at it... or Dream vs. Reality" thread.

Just kidding, kind of...

I need to pull the rear shocks and tighten the mounting bolts. While I'm at it I'll swap the sway bar and bushings (I know, but I've only had the car for so long).

Swap out the fog light housings.

Plasti-dip the fender and plastic surrounds. They are worn out like a two dollar, well you know.

I would love a new exhaust and intake but need to replace the injectors, clean the intake valves or both. The pull is just not there anymore and it doesn't even have a pulley on it yet.

Maybe a motor swap is in my future. That will be a day well spent.

Water/methanol injection kit… I smell refund. Ha!

Distant second is a set of white Fifteen52 or Compomotive wheels.

add "replace overhead light" to mine...broke a small tab that holds the circuit board, but if course, we have to order as a whole unit...
Oh, and wipers.

Mine are in the need category

2006 MCS Checkmate
Koni FSDs
Repaint bonnet, restripe, clear bra
Tighten dash panels to remove creaks
Fix driver seat back, heater shorted out
Polish boot, remove bike rack marks
Nice to have, fix AC

I was originally giving the Checkmate to my adult daughter who is graduating college, but she wisely decided she could not afford a car right now.

Now my son wants it when he gets stationed in the States next summer, so since I will need a new bike transporter

2012 RoadsterS
MiniFini hitch and bike rack

You mean big brake kit's? If so what have you settled on? I'm thinking about Wilwood on all fours. Some only offer the front brake upgrades and not the rears.

I'm converting the front brakes to the stock r56 S setup, they are the same as the r53 JCW brakes.

Wow I didn't know you that, I guess that's a big plus for R53 owner's.
