N14 JCW engine?
OK, so I just posted about a JCW vs a 2014 clubman but after reading stories about the N14 I am somewhat concerned.
My question is should I "run" not walk away from any N14 mini? Some seem to think so.
Is the N14 JCW engine the same story?
Many posts about how bad the N14 is but not much info on the JCW N14 variant.
What would be the service life on the timing chain? ie. When should it get replaced before bad things happen?

I have a 12 R58 JCW N14, no problems with the exception of one coil going bad which
can happen to any car. The secret for a long life and a healthy timing chain is checking
the oil level OFTEN. Mine has 45k on it and I have never had to add any oil between oil
changes. Again keep the oil level up to the full mark at all times.
