Can someone suggest the 'best' 2-way radio to use at the Dragon? I am going to buy a new one and I want something with power, distance, channel selection and dual power. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Teddy

Midland - LXT630VP3 from Amazon

That's the radios I bought for the Dragon year before last. Before that I used mismatched random brands I picked up of FleaBay. The new ones seem to work okay. Thanks for reminding me. I need to find and get the radios charged. Haven't seen them or the charger since last year.

April Fool's Day, this year. Pleased to report that Spring hath commenced, the road is still there, and all the photographers are lying in wait for the Minis.

Cheers,

Charlie

Wow. This seems like a crazy fun event. It's too late for me to make it this year but I will start planning for next.

Okay, this may be a long shot, but does anyone have a spare room, bed, or campground spot?

I just found out that I have a business trip to Dayton OH, and I can kind of squeeze MOTD in on the way there!

Is anyone (WMW, Detroit, etc) offering on-site tuning services this year? I'm local(ish) and would love to pop in for a tune by someone without sidelining the car for days.

Yes we will be doing tunes at the event. But please email and set up a time as we need to schedule them due to the amount of time it takes.

It's has shortwave so don't use the frequencies in that range. But the FRS works great!

Unfortunately, we're not coming this year. Next year, Msfitoy will be trailer down to save on highway miles.

Dude! you're 2 hours closer than I am!

I'm still working to sort out my new suspension system so I can get it aligned before the Dragon. Only downside of testing a prototype. Need to get the ride level in the rear sorted out tomorrow afternoon.

If you see Barry out & about on his golf cart, and if you enjoy MOTD, be sure to give him a quick word of thanks. I know how hard he & all the volunteers work to pull this thing off, and the appreciation or simple words of gratitude make a difference.

Afternoon, all!

I just noticed that this is about to happen and I just obtained my F56 S a few days ago.

I live about an hour from 'the dragon' and will be free all that weekend. I know registration is already closed, but is it worth me taking a ride out to join up on Saturday? My wife will be out of town so it would be just me - wasn't sure if I would feel odd just rocking up by myself and not knowing anyone.

Motoring Alliance has a tent on Vendors Row. Stop by and hang out if you want, you're more than welcome. I don't think that NAM is having a tent this year, so everyone is welcome at the tent.

got a couple of parts listed under Lights in the Market place. Figured I list here first for members.

Now everyone tell Mother Nature get her stuff together and move the rain past they're calling for!

You might catch me at the MA tent sometime Friday. There are some good guys over there. NAM is just a sponsor this year. Maybe we'll have a tent again next year.
