cool pick. I'm thinking about adding that bike rack. Since I traded
in my truck for my MINI, I need something to haul the mountain bikes
now.

Additionally in the states you could order any of the options seperate from any packages (U-stripes, English leather, Royal Grey, Space Blue, Silver roof, Checkmate, Parklane and 7 dash panels) plus you could add the factory installed JCW package.
My car isn't a real Checkmate... I just loved the wheels and checkered decals so much I had my dealer install them at purchase! Yes, it's kind of lame because it's not the real deal, but I got exactly what I wanted... a John Cooper Works Cooper S Parklane/Checkmate combo

I LOVE RG!!! Pics simply DO NOT do justice to this amazing color!!!
Before I bought my 2006 MCS Factory JCW, I looked at 2 other colors, red and blue - the two most "popular" mini colors on the road. However, I'm glad I was not another victim. Although you really can't go wrong with most of the colors the mini offers. When I saw the Royal Grey I said, "this is the new color for the Mini - very classy and yet so sporty. Moreover, its a color you can't get tired of looking at because no other cars offer this color, except for the Mini.
Just the other day I was driving, by the way this is NOT the first time a stranger gave compliments about RG color (while I'm on the road).
A "RED" Ferrari 360 Modena was beside me, guy honks his horn, I looked and he gave me thumbs up! Then we got into traffic, he roles down his window and yelled, "Your Cooper Works is absolutely beautiful, what color is that?" In my wildest dream I would've never imagined a guy in a RED Ferrari will be asking me question about my mini/color and out of all places on the highway.
That said, RG is bar none my favorite color. Especially when it is accented by two tone red interior. I'll post pics of her real soon.

Here's a stamp of approval for our color. Check out what Killboy had to say about mine at MINIs on the Dragon!

i loooooooove my royal gray MCS.... but I think we (all...) have a bit of a problem. :(
i had a service appointment today, and i asked the guy at the service center about doing some quick touching up on some minor scratches and dings. this is where things went sour... . apparently, if you don't already have the royal grey touch-up paint, your SOL; the dealer said that there is no longer a sku for royal grey (the touch up paint)!!
1.) can anyone confirm this with their dealers as well?
2.) does anyone have a spare royal grey touch up kit?
3.) what happened when they discontinued other colors?

Color code A48. For some reason they list it under the 07 color codes.
