OK we all own MINIs but what's your second car?

Well, of course the R59 is zippy and go-kart like but Evora is just awesome. It is so direct and provides so much feedback of the road. I can feel every groove in the road, it puts a smile on my face but if I could buy it again I would spend the extra $ and get an S or 400 for the power.

MINI Mayfair is my main squeeze
Was that too old school? Everyone in town knows it's me on the road when they see my Hot Chocolate baby. There are times when I need to move some large stuff - I'm a theater director, after all, and for that I use the family Audi Q7. It's the maxi car in the garage.

The MINI is here to be my wife's only car, for now. While the family fits in the MINI (our daughter is 3.5 years old and climb in and out herself) it isn't exactly roomy or comfortable for a long trip. I drive the family haulers. Summer ride is a 2003 BMW 325i Touring. Grey Green metallic over Sand interior, sport/premium/cold weather package/HK sound, rwd, 5 speed manual, and H&R springs and Koni yellows. This is my 3rd e46 Touring, I just love how it drives. I have a 6 speed to go in it waiting in the garage. Winter ride is a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 1.75" budget boost, '16 Rubicon wheels and 265/70r17 ATs, and some e46 sport seats in the front.

Sold my 2010 S Clubman to buy my wife a 2015 Nissan Rogue SV. At the time I had a Mucho Modded 1999 VW Jetta TDI ( http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=296810&highlight=chippednotbroken) that I sold to buy a 2017 Subaru Outback Premium. Changed jobs and was putting so much mileage on the Outback that I wanted a third to car split the mileage with, hence the new Chili Pepper Red Justa Cooper from 2009.

My 54 Studebaker Conestoga (2dr wagon).
High dollar Stude 299 inch engine, GM T-200-4R 4spd trans., 4 wheel disc brakes, Winters Quick Change rear end hung on Chevy Truck control arms.
My soon to be daily driver Conestoga.
Minimal dollar 259 Stude engine. High dollar ported heads, a modified Chrysler intake manifold, 4 wheel disc brakes, narrowed rear axle.
And my retirement project after I finish the "daily driver wagon -
I'm not really into just buying off the dealers floor. I like to build what I want, not what someone else thinks I should have..!
84 Corvette front suspension, 9" Ford rear axle, four link rear suspension, full roll cage, bumper to bumper. 383 small Chevy with high dollar T200-4R with trans. brake.
And now, my first offshore car of any brand -
Small modifications so far. Fixing some previous owners "upgrades", and adding a few of my own changes as time permits.
Mike

My current stable...
In order of most recent addition to oldest:
2012 Cooper S Roadster
2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS Spyder
2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport w/ Plow
1981 Delorean DMC-12 (the "Back To The Future" car)
The MINI Cooper is DEF the most fun!!!! The spyder is nice for top down driving with more than 2 people. The Jeep is to clear the NY snow and home depot runs :-) The Delorean was a childhood dream and this one replaced one I had from 2002 - 2008 and I've been her caretaker since 2010.

We currently have 3 cars in the stable:
2014 F56 S with 24k miles. I just purchased this and sold my 2013 BMW E93. While the BMW was more luxurious, the Cooper is so much more fun as my daily driver.
2014 VW Passat with 60k miles. Wife bought this car new when we had our daughter. It is also a manual. Don't need something so big, so this will be replaced soon by either an A3 if she can accept the DSG transmission, or perhaps a new Mini 4 door hardtop.
2002 Ferrari 360 Spider F1 with 25k miles. This was just purchased a couple of months ago. This is the Friday to work and occasional weekend car. An experiment to see how much F-Car ownership will cost annually. If it is reasonable, will probably upgrade to a F430 or even a 458, depending on finances.

The price of new Jeep Wranglers is absurd, too. $50k+ for a fully loaded Rubicon. Granted they have come a long way from the CJs, and even the YJ Wranglers, but even the base models are around $30k.
