I've had my 06 CR/W MCS for a week now and have only put 934 miles on her. However, during that time, she's told me that her name is Margaret Rose but prefers to be called Maggy!!! Speaking of, she's calling; gotta go!!! Only 310 miles 'til break-in complete!! Cheers!!
Ok this is brilliant. My car's name is..."The MINI" Ok maybe that was lame. Argh! It's so difficult thinking of a name that fits the personality of a specific car. :impatient
Well, the previous owner of my Mini works for Road & Track. Maybe I should have a name that relates to it.

Tobias. Being all black, with the chromed bits, and with the tan and black interior, I felt inclined to go for some bad-*** name. But then I thought about it, and decided I wanted a name more in line with my personality. I like the name Tobias, so there it is. Tobias. 'Causin' pain in the turnin' lane!!
Apparently so. My dad was surpised when he found out considering he knows Peter to begin with. What's interesting is that I wasn't too sure if that Mini was going to be the one I was going to get, but I figured since it was right in Madison, it would work out perfectly.

That is awesome. I've been a fan of Peter's writing for decades. Been an MG owner for 31 years, so Peter's stories have always hit home. Ever read his classic "The Great TC Trek?"
yeah big fan of peter egan too, is he a cool guy in reality? im always curious if people hide themselves, behind their words (or camera if there an actor)
I was considering a number of nice British names...Winston, Simon, Nigel. But then one day (and he's not here yet...waiting for a boat) it came to me - JAKE! As many NAM members have said it justed popped into my head.
Snaps, to me, the name of your Mini is obvious: Peter. But pronounced in a British way, Pee-tah! And wherever you go, you'll always have your Peter! Just remember to take care of your Peter, and use safe driving!

Not that I can recall. I actually started reading more of Peter's articles after I got my Mini. I'll make sure I get a chance to read that.

Will do Gromit.
And an answer to how Peter is in person. I've not met him in person, but my dad has and he says he's a cool guy. I'll have to meet him someday.
