Hey, MrsBean....I forgot about that! I'll also have to leave the dog in the car when it's parked in our driveway to scare the dickens out of my sister-in-law when she comes over, too!
You are a Mr. Bean fan, I presume? Either that, or you really are "Mrs Atkinson". One of the two, no?
LOL yes, I am a Mr Bean fan and i've always loved mini coopers! Although I don't know that I'd advertise that i'm Mrs. Atkinson, the REAL Mrs. Atkinson. I don't "love" him that much LOL!!! and I forgot all about Onslo's dog!! LOL.... it's hysterical when mrs. bucket falls into the hedge!!!
I've posted on this thread before with a couple of ideas that I thought I had settled on. But this week I finally decided to go with the following, and I've ordered the European plates to make it official.
Calling the little guy "Jr." and it wasn't a difficult choice. I got new plates with the car and the first three letters are RJR. My name starts with an R, so I thought it was pretty cool. Dorky? Yes! lol
Somewhere on this thread is an earlier post where I thought I had mine named. But even though I liked the two names I kept using, I could never settle on either of them. In the end I decided to go with something quintessentially British.
We had lots of names for number 1, but someone could never decide on one, so he never did get named. I wanted to name him "Tiff" after one of our favorite TV presenters and sometime F1 and LeMans driver Tiff Needell. Cathy though that sounded too much like a girls name though.
Quentin was partly named after another presenter on the same show, and partly because it sounded like this plate "Q22 MINI".
Tristan was so named because he arrived on the Isolde, and it seemed to fit him being the third.
Number 4 is not quite named, but I'm leaning towards Shawn after the sheep in Wallace and Gromit. Number 4 is such a departure colourwise from the other 3 we were joking about him being the black sheep.
named mine after a can of Orange Crush with some minor changes due to the availability of plates in MN - CRUSH3R draws out a smirk or two at the pump when surround by a bunch of SUVs.
Hubby has the 2007 Shelby GT500 in red with white stripes.
He wasn't for the Mini a few years ago, but after seeing that I was getting in as much or more driving time than he was in the Shelby I got my Mini.
The plan was to strip the factory stripes from the Mini and replace them with matching Shelby stripes. I just haven't got around to it yet. I really like the way it is.
Well, after reading a few of the "How I named my MINI" posts I decided to share in the joy. I named my 07'MCS cabrio Lois, short for Loislane as in Superman. She is a dream to drive and we get lots of grinns while we are tooling around town.
It was the family name of those living upstairs in the old British TV series "Upstairs Downstairs". Also, it is the Anglicized form of the
French bel ami, meaning "handsome friend" -- which of course he is.
While on a visit to IKEA, I 'adopted' a hedgehog. Hedgehogs are native to Britian, where MINIs are produced. A famous statesman from Britian was named Winston. OURMINI is a 2003 model. That is how Winston03 came about.
