General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
After being rear-ended last week, "Dudley" has been renamed "Bentley". Hopefully the autobody folks will straighten him out.
OUCH!!! That is never fun. I got bumped a few weeks back. My car was less than two weeks old. We were in bumper-to-bumper traffic and the idiot behind me decided that he wanted to move those critical 7 feet up the road faster than anyone else . . . including me. Just a scratch on the plastic but still. TWO WEEKS.
Her name is Beatrix. (You know... Beatrix Potter, the English writer who wrote all the Petter Rabbit stories..) She's an '04 BRG/BRG MC. Best auto we've ever had!
And this is our newest addition to the family, Jack.
'08 PW/B MC with all the trimmings.
He's quite a bit friskier than his roommate, Bea and we wouldn't have it any other way!
Our MCSC is just "the MINI", but we named our dog Cooper. Does that count?
Don't have a dog named Cooper, yet...but one never knows. So far, I have never named any of my MINIs though I am getting close to doing so. Perhaps for me, it's like having my own private mantra where upon if you say the name out loud it will lose some of its power?

Reason: fear of losing my MINI's powers. ;-)
I name all my cars, but I always keep the name between the car and myself .
I will point out, however, that the blue and white character in my sig that is coincidentally similar in color to my MINI has significance beyond looking pretty...
All of my previous cars eventually told me their names (e.g., Ahura Mazda, Carmello the Camry, Louise the Durango a.k.a. The Behemoth), but I've gotten nothin' thus far from the MINI. Heck, it hasn't even revealed its gender to me yet -- and I've looked!
