General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
Ours have always looked somewhat similar from what I remember. But while Msfitoy was the over achiever mine has always been the bastard child that was slow to learn.

Looks like it learned a lot! A+ I have pictures somewhere of Msfitoy with black bonnet stripes and same PIAA lamps...
My new baby just arrived at the Brunswick port today, so hopefully I will be able to pick her up on Monday if not sooner. However, why is everyone in this thread stating that Pure Silver owners are "different" by non-badging or being more stealthy then other MINI owners of non PS colors? I'm not entirely sure of the context that "Stealth" is being used here. Are PS owners viewed differently by other MINI owners, am I missing something?
Would someone also please provide me with a little more insight to a newb?
Just wanted to let all you PS owners know that there's another one on the way. In fact it's in production now, with expected assembly date of August 7.
The stats are in my signature. Phantom will be triple PS, basically leaning toward the PS stealth look (as opposed to the PS bling look). I do plan to swap out the chrome grill for the black JCW grill from... which I think adds to the stealth look.
I will let you all know when Phantom arrives - expected somewhere around the middle of September.
Are you saying that MINI is going to add another choice in the Silver shade? What is a "triple PS"?
Sorry to be so remedial...
Triple PS means body, roof, and mirrors are PS. I learned that by reading some older posts here on NAM. And I've seen pics of cars with PS body and roof, but black or checkered or some other mirror treatment. Triple PS is just really hardcore. But all PS, regardless of where it is on the car is nice!
Woooooo, I just ordered my first MINI -- a 2008 pure silver MCS hardtop, black sport stripes down the middle... I can't even wait till it gets here!
-Will!
I am considering an '09 MCS PS/Blk with Blk Sport stripes. I haven't seen any pics on this thread (or elsewhere for that matter) with the parallel sport strips on PS.
Any thoughts out there on the sport stripes vs. the traditional mini stripes on PS/Blk?

I chose the sport stripes, despite the fact that they are more expensive, because I like the look better. The factory bonnet stripes that are angled just don't do it for me (except in a few rare color combinations). I also like the fact that with the sport stripes, you get them on the boot, too. Seems more balanced to me. I think that if I didn't have the sunroof, I would add them to the roof, too. And black on PS will look really nice, I think.
Your can get a feel for what they will look like in the configurator, too.

Thx for the thoughts. Do you have a pic of yours? I checked your gallery but came up empty handed!
PS is indeed an awesome color. Couldn't quite go the hardcore route though, I like the contrast with black too much, oh and the black jack really fits nicely for accents.
