I always hoped this would come from Mini
bought YARIS GW .... Gazoo Works
Shame on you JCW, that happens if a board of women runs a gendered MINI M GmbH

Great road that appears to be a decent surface with no pot holes! Obviously a much younger driver than me and better reflexes and skills! I am relegated to automatics and paddle shifters, but I would love to drive these paved pathways! And, it appeared to be wet enough to exercise controlled slides and save valuable rubber! What tires were on the Yaris? Thanks for sharing.

That Czechia video is great!
The Yaris GR in the pic is AP4 spec which is for an Australian rally series, couldn't find any videos of the new one in action, but here's the older one piloted by the team that'll be running the new one:
:
Similar to junior rally type stuff, like an R5 Fiesta for example:
:
Although I do truly love these hypermodern supercar rally monsters,
it's hard to beat the classics!
This guy is awesome and so is his old Ford!

Mike,
If the MOTD event happens this year come to North Carolina and Tennessee for a week of mini Heaven. Great roads, generally friendly law enforcement, and glad to see us merchants even with all the miniphiles that attend. The corona crud may postpone it until next year, but there are always a lot of minis and other speedsters there most of the time. We will most likely go even if the event is cancelled. We want to take our latest mini, a gp3 there, driving backroads all the way from central Kentucky to Robbinsville, North Carolina. This will be the first time we did not drive a JCW for the event in a JCW since 2014.

I think the YARIS GR with its 25000 homologation run will sold in the USA as well.
31.000 Euros including 19% sales = Fokus WRC. ( 400.000 Euros) such a aero concept works well especially on tarmac, where such fenders and wings start to work at 80 km/h. High speed passages on rails, the farting exhaust is a bypass to keep the turbo spinning , not a JCW early morning cold start happening, as the whole engine bay is aero shaped and with its engine quite expensive, but you dont need that for the track on such a level, as you can adept quite cosy.

Very sadly,
North America has been denied once again and we will not get the new Yaris GR.
Toyota cruelly teased us with it:
But ultimately declined to import it.
The "hot hatch" they are referencing in their teaser for USA will be the upcoming 2022 Corolla GR which is far from a homologation special and yet another stupid 5 door hatchback which I have no interest in whatsoever.
https://www.caranddriver.com/toyota/gr-corolla
Glimmer of hope is that due to the massive success of Yaris GR they may expand production and even start importing them to USA,
I'm not holding my breath though.
Right now,
we can only be spectators.
