:: ECS Tuning :: MINI Schroth Racing Quick Fit Harnesses - Gen 2

Gen 2 R55/R56/R57 MINI Schroth Quick Fit Harnesses

A frequent dilemma when fitting an upgraded seat belt to track-prepared street cars is how to balance the needs of daily driving with the demands of performance driving.

A dedicated track-day setup is typically impractical, while running without a substantial harness forces the driver to use the steering wheel to hold themselves in place.

Schroth Racing Quick Fit Harnesses are fully reversible and anchor to the factory seat belt pre-tensioner, allowing the airbags to deploy as the MINI engineers intended.

Both left (driver) and right (passenger) harnesses are available.

Fits:
R55 MINI Cooper Clubman /S/JCW (2008+)
R56 MINI Cooper /S/JCW (2007+)
R57 MINI Cooper Convertible /S/JCW (2009+)

Thanks for asking. For the R58 Coupe ( two seater only )
These hook to the rear seat , factory seat belt anchors, that you would have on a R56 hardtop for example. So you would have to create an anchor point and tighten the slack( because you have no rear seats ). Or find another solution to the belts. I am sure a custom roll cage or anchor point that mimic the factory rear seats of the 4 seater are possible.

I have these in my MINIs... I even have them in my 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T (6 spd man)

Takes only minutes to install (if you have the correct Torx bit)

Motor on!

Thanks for the response. I've been looking at the car closely and I may just may make my own harness bar too run behind the seats I just have to measure the angle to see if I could get that correct. Those pods that stick out of the rear bulkhead come out so there is room to be had there I'll have to make a prototype with PVC and then send it to my fabricator to get welded up.

The other post about JCW red color code was for this purpose. Paint the bar with the red accent color. Wink

And red belts would then look great too.

Cars is toooo young to track. So I have all winter before next season starts.

Thanks again.

You are welcome. Sounds like a plan, post up when done. The Red belts do match very closely to the JCW Red.
