Factory aero kit

Other than the two pictures that have been around for a while, has anyone actually seen one of these yet? How does it look? As bad as the pictures?
The configurator says it is currently unavailable and will be available on 4/15

Are you referring to the Hypersport Aero kit instead of the JCW?

Yes - I am surprised that any are being picked up as it was only available to be ordered on April 15.

OOOH YEEEAH! The JCW Aero kit is way cool. I will snap of some pics in the morning. I just got it cleaned up tonight. I just need some new wheels now and a couple of the carbon bits for the outside. I have the clear bra guy coming to the house tomorrow to finish up with the bumper. AND i have the factory bumpers and sideskirts sitting in the garage.

OK, I want to know what actual parts are included. I can see the color-coded side pieces. Looks like an entirely different front bumper and blackout piece around the upper grille. Does it include a new grille? Anything on the back end (looks like a different rear bumber too)? And those black JCW wheels are very cool.

The JCW kit came with new front and rear bumpers, new grilles with black surround, new side skirts, and the JCW door sills. The grilles are a different pattern than the stock MCS grilles. The only thing i wanted that didnt' come with the kit is the JCW grille emblem. I don't know why the new kits for 07 don't have them.

i saw the aero kit on a jcw when i was at a car show a few months before the release and personally i found and STILL find the kit & new r56 ugly, too bulky and IMOH theyve robbed the mini of its MINI-ness

Actually it looks like this....

We ordered the car with the JCW kit but the dealer talked us out of it saying that the factory kit would be cheaper and look similar. Since I had never seen the factory kit, I went with it. WRONG CHOICE! The photos are how the car looked when I first went to see it last week. YUCK At the dealer's suggestion, the car is having the arches painted before delivery and it should look fine. He was very apologetic and said that he would suggest to BMW that all future kits come with painted arches. Unfortunately, not as cool as the JCW kit but it's my wife's car and she is happy with the look.

I ordered the factory kit as well. Got the hypersport package. Wanted something to look different but not willing to dish out the $$ for JCW kit.

my mini is astro black with white top so the wheel arch doesn't bother me as much. when i made my decision i looked at one with kit and without kit side by side and decided its worth the extra 700 - 800 bucks...
