So.... GP Parts yet?

Well since you can't exactly search for "GP" since its too short, I had to make this post. I went back 7 pages and didn't see anything.

Are GP parts still pretty much forbidden? Has anybody figured out to buy some GP exterior parts yet? Just got back from the Dragon and saw a few little things here and there that seem like they would fit on the good ol' MCS and was wondering if there was any way of ordering them?

The main thing I want is the rear black plastic bumper trim and the undertray would be really nice but i'm guessing its pretty pricey $$$$$$

It's been said many times that the only way to purchase GP parts is with a GP VIN.

MINI have clamped down further than that because some people were acquiring VINs even without owning a GP - for many GP specific parts, MINI now require not only the VIN but also photo evidence of the need for the part (eg: pics of original part broken)

dang!

you can buy gp accessories, tho, little things like floor mats and gp car cover, etc. and there's a replica gp wheel floating around somewhere, in 17" and 18" sizes. but i like how they're working hard to keep it special

The trouble with the wing, is it requires a modified rear glass and rear hatch to attach it to! You need the complete back end of a GP

I got mine this way, but it certainly wasn't $350 (add a couple hundred). Happy I did it though!

that rear wing is the only thing I would want off of the GP. Maybe i'll get lucky one day and find a wrecked Gp that only the front and sides are damaged. Then I'll ****** it up quick

All you GP owners should beware of large, ratty old pick-ups suddenly pulling out in front of you when you're at speed.

It might be El Griton.

If you do get the rear panels, you'd need I think to get the foam insert piece that sits where the rear seats would normally go, too - those parts interlock with one another, keeping the large panels in place.
I suppose you might then also want the "Z-fold" carpet that covers that area.
