I was just talking to my wife about doing that to my car a couple weeks ago! (the license plate depression that is). Nice! As usual, you beat me and every one else to it.

Thanks...I was going to try and get the GP vinyl overlay but it would've probably costed $500 even if I could lie my way in...so I painted it...
Hey, on a serious note, are those Euro taillights a pretty easy swap? Are the fasteners accessible through the access panels on either side of the boot, or do you have to actually remove the interior panels to get to them?

The blackout treatment does look good, btw.
They are relatively easy to do...providing you have skinny hands...there are two bolts that needs to be removed which can be accessed through the pop out panels but the studs are loooooong so it takes forever to get them undone...:impatient

The bolts arn't that bad...just use a socket wrench with an extension on the head to get the bolts off, keeps the ratchting part outside of the cubby for a good 110degrees of rotation per turn. I swapped my tails in about 5mins this way. Then another 5 to put back the OEMs because I forgot I didn't have the right bulbs

He was referring to my rear "Euro" lamps with the white center...the reflectors in the lower bumper are in preparation for upcoming clear rear lamp mod...

Easy to do. I swap out every year for winter to summer use. Don't ask. Anyway, yes the studs are long. 1/4 drive with a long socket does the trick. If your really savvy just use a 10MM (as above) rachet spanner. The two press clips on the out board sides, press inward and work the lamp out holding the outside so the thing won't just pop out and stress the wires.
Press the new ones in until you hear a positive click(s).
