Well, since we're all jumping on the M3 wagon -- the imola red is also a great color

Name the movie and actor:

"You want to know what a real criminal is, Ackerman? It's the son of a ***** who painted this car, that's who... Can you imagine defacing a work of art like this with a color like that? The guy ought to have his *** removed."

Extra points if you name the car.

No offense at all JT. It actually changes shade to the naked eye depending on lighting as well. They should call it cameleon white.

I love the off white, and would not mind if even more creamy. But then again I like old bathroom fixtures...claw foot tubs, etc...

There are so many good MINI color choices . . . I just haven't thought about being dissatisfied . . . but the fact is . . . if the BRG had been more traditional that would have been my choice.

I would have like the option to get 18K gold plating instead of the interior/exterior chrome packages. That would be some bling.

Just kidding. I got everything just the way I wanted as is.

Okay, here's a happy story to warm the cockles of your hearts:

In my incessant ogling of classic Minis over the years, Island Blue always remained a personal favorite color for Minis. So when the MINI arrived, I naturally fell in love with Electric Blue, however since I drive Coopers I was out of luck as EB was an MCS-only color.

Then came the fine day when it was announced that Electric Blue was going to be extended to the Coopers line. I was so excited...but shortly after it was revealed that EB would come to Coopers except in the U.S.. Bummer.

And so it went....until this year. The mysterious Oxygen Blue was to be offered as a Cooper-only color in 2007!! It was to be non-metallic and it appeared to be very similar to the classic color Island Blue, which was also non-metallic. Again, my interest was peaked. Then it was rumored that Oxygen Blue would not come to the U.S. and I was sad.

Finally, those rumors dissipated (because someone at MINI loves me ) and Oxygen Blue (my dream color from way back) was to come to the U.S. after all!!!

I was so happy, hoping OB would hang around til '08 when I was planning for my next MINI. Circumstances intervened, however, bumping up my MINI procurement...and Oxygen Blue went into the configurator as my choice!!!

So now, an Oxygen Blue/W Cooper sits in my driveway and I motor in it every day. It is my all time favorite color on Minis and connects me with Mini heritage and all I have ever loved about these cars.

Pretty cool, huh???

So..... Island Blue then?

Congrats on your new OB Cooper!! I agree - it's a neat color, and looks like Island Blue. I have yet to see one in person, but I'm keeping an eye out.

I just looked for the OB on the MINI USA site, and can't see it for any of the current models in the "Custom Paintshop" page. Was it discontinued mid-year?
