Gauge Trim Rings

How do you remove the trim rings from the gauges (for painting)?

For the tach, you have to remove it. There are 2 torx bit screws that hold it down to the steering column. Once it's removed, you have to remove the screws on the back of the tach, and then you can pry the tabs away to get the ring off. Sorry if this is confusing, but it's had for me to explain things. I just do them. It's not hard at all.

For the speedo (not the mens swimwear), you have to remove the center part of the dash. Depending on the year, depends on how many bolts you remove. I believe on the '04s and up, there are 2 bolts. Once the bolts are removed, you have to tug at it and it'll pop away. Then the speedo ring just pops off.
