Air Horn Install Question
I picked up a set of Hella air horns to install in addition to my stock set.
My stock horns have a brown wire and a red wire going to them, which is (-) which is positive (+)?
Can i just tap them each a run them to the compressor?

The brown wire is (-), as is any solid brown wire in the car. Red of course is the (+) wire. If you plan on disconnecting the original horns to operate the air horns instead, you should be fine. However, if you want the original horns to blast along with the air horns, you will probably overload the horn circuit unless you use a relay and create a separate branch circuit for the compressor.

A relay is definitely the way to go and will never overload your system. I just installed a set of air-horns in my Cooper and used the red wire from the original horns to feed the relay (the ground can just go to the mounting bracket; for the heavy load side of the relay I used the terminal at the back of the fuse block (next to the air box). I just unplugged my original horns but have the option to plug them in at any time (not that I will need them)
