Once I have my degree I will plunge deepely through this passage to the point of no return.

How does it keep water out of important stuff under the hood?

Does anyone have pictures of the underside of the hood with the vent installed?

 

1QukMINI, it comes with a little tiny mini man under the hood with a Major Mini Maxi Mop to keep
da motor nice and dry

 

...and I thought those were "just" vents. They look even better when you lift the hood!

with the set up above, I would be worried about having a puddling effect with all the crazy rain we have here in SC. maybe a drain system could be in order.

 

why not just louver the whole hood and be done with it? Sorry, but I won't be sawzalling my hood anytime soon.Different strokes.This must be another one of those hot southern California things like the 180 deg. thermostat.Doesn't fly up here in the Northeast snow belt.

At Road Atlanta last Sat it was 104 deg. we ran 25 minute sessions most of that was at WOT, I never felt a loss of power from the begining of a session to the end, I guess I'm not sure what you after by cutting a hole. in the hood doing this is way down on the list of things I'm thinking about.

 

We need a Doctor Obnxs opinion on this.
At a range of ambient temperatures 70 tp 100 degrees : a range of
vehicle speeds of 40 to 100 mph ; a range of engine RPM's of 3,000 to
6,000 ; sea level 30.0 barametric pressure/ 35% relative humidity,
no wind speed; -----at what ,if any ,of the intersection of these parameters
does the rate of cooling of the M-7 DFIC with the new exit air vent
exceed the rate of cooling without the new exit air vent

(p.s.----you don't get partial credit if you say " hit it with a big stick"
as proposed in the Alta PSRS thread )

...but I believe there are drains in the outlet duct.
