Glad you're still in school, if you were out here with the rest of us, we wouldn't be able to keep up with you.
BTW, I made a metal template of the vent when I did my hood, much easier to cut that way.

Oh my God
I have been staying clear of all the hate propaganda from the typical
haters, so I can stay possitive and keep my blood pressure at a liveable
level. So with that I like to appologize for not coming in here and make my points or add any input to the discussion at hand.
The M7 DFIC Air Extractor is done and will ship within 10 days.
I will have tons of images to share later this afternoon with a how to
and much, much more.
And finally a thank you to all of my great customers out there who knows
and appreciate all we do for the community.

sad that it comes to this...
For his continued lack of respect for other members of the site, camelpilot has been issued a second strike. Given this his access to the site has been removed.
goaljnky has also been issued a strike for his continued lack of respect for other members both in this thread and others. The strike also includes his continued efforts to disrupt discussions by driving them off-topic.
Mozzarella has requested that I remove his account. I have complied with his request.
I know that we don't always share the same beliefs when it comes to what we wish to do with our cars. If you can't agree to disagree (with manners) with others on the site then move on. Each person can make their own decisions on what they choose to spend their money on.

Do you have a link? You know it's like having to look at car wreck on the side of the highway, you just have to take a peek .

The template is perfect...especially if you can rest the cutter on the edge and run it along the perimeter. It's always a good idea to make it a bit smaller than you want the hole for a little extra safety.
Theoretically, someone could fabricate their own vent out of welded metal to make it a little more subtle correct? (assuming you also routed it to the back of the IC)

Never used a Plasma Cutter, cut my hood the "old fashion way" die grinder and cut off wheels. D@mn it took a long time and h*ll cutting curves. You'd think a sculptor would get with the modern times. But, I don't have much need for a Plasma Cutter doing bronze figures. But more toys would be fun. First I need that TIG welder. Then I might try the metel version of a hood scoop. Till then the old fiberglas version will have to do.

In the Mustang world I came out of, if you posted in a performance or suspension thread without the tech to back you up, you'd get reamed a good one! Also, there was higher tolerance of complaints against vendors.
But there sure is some interesting reading there! I've asked how I rate on the MiniNuts scale, (it's uses different vocabulary depending on how much the think you perform oral sex or get pounded in the rear by the vendors, M7 in particular, none of the descriptions are allowed here!)
To tell the truth, I was laughing a tons of the posts. You guys think I sometimes use creative imagary and vocabulary!

Hahah I'm a metal sculptor...I've had my fair share of "oops" cuts and wouldn't want to risk that on a hood:impatient

Last I knew, the AES(air extractor scoop) was more subtle looking than the one on Randy's POS hacksaw car.
Somewhat like a DFIC scoop reversed. I have pics somewhere, but not sure if it's ok to post them.

That is exactly what we did.
Are you telling me that the hood pictured is all steel? If so, that is an excellent job!

My install took about a hr to complete. It took me about 30 min to get the supplied template just rite and Steve another 30 min with his air driven saw blade. The template was on the money and really made it a lot easier than i thought. The first time the blade punches thru the metal causes a bit of a twinge but after that you just want to get it done !
