Interior/Exterior I just installed my stripes, is it crooked?
#1
Hi everyone,
I don't know if you remember me posting about my removable stripes flying off in the freeway, but I decided to get the permanent ones. They were short as expected and I do have tiny air bubbles, but it's not too noticeable. It was very easy to install. I just don't kow if I got them on right. Does it look crooked to you?
I might as well show off my car while I'm at it.
Here's my car at night I also got the S gas cap, BMW of San Francisco painted it for FREE! Thanks!
I love my wheels.. (thanks fprodget)
I put on the clear side markers and the white tail lamps but I kept the 3rd brake light on, kinda like it that way. (does that make them legal?)
and here is my DVD player and navigation... the DVD player is in the glove. the display folds in whenever yhuo want it to.
I got the parcel shelf too, but don't have any pics, well, thanks for checking my car out, I worked hard on it.
I never payed attention to cars until I got the MINI. This was the 1st time ever I did anything to a car. Pretty darn easy thanks to MCO
Anyone have ideas on naming my car?

Thanks for the compliments everyone! I really appreciate it alot.
nomonsterisinme - what happened to your stripes?
HARMINI - which stubby antenna do you recommend and where would I get my windows tinted?
bethandlouis - the DVD works while I'm driving, the people who installed it bypassed some wiring and made it work out, it would be pointless to only have it work while parked, my girlfriend is the one who watches, but it's pretty handy for rush hour traffic.
Minikin - hopefully I'll see you around, I don't meet that many people on here from the bay area.
Soo.. what should I name my MINI?

I bought my stubby antenna from Hondacuraworld.com for under $20 with shipping.
web page for antenna
make sure to order the antenna for a 2003 Honda S2000 on the order form also.

I second the name JIVEMINI!!!!
And I second the recommendation for the S2000 antenna. Buy online or go to your local Honda dealer. Mine had them in stock, a little over $20 if I remember.
To find a tint shop, look in the yellow pages. Most tinters here operate under car audio and security stores. I called the local guys and found a place that did nice work. The price of tints varies widely from region to region.

I think the stripes look straight, and your car looks amazing. I was just looking at it and I thought maybe it would look better if the stripes had the white pinstripe on the outside like the 'S' stripes. I read somewhere that you can just buy the pinstriping and run it along the borders of your existing stripes, I was thinking of doing that with my white bonnet stripes on my Chili Red. I love the look of the clear tail lamps, gives a nice clean look to your car, but what do people think about them on Chili Red? It almost seems like the red taillamps would be a more seamless look on a red car.

Thanks hahahaha, I guess you could still say they are PHAT!
L.Mini - I wasn't so sure if I should do this myself either, but I didn't want to pay $200 to install.
MCJoe - Hmm... I wonder how it would look with the white pinstriping. It does look a little incomplete. Maybe a black pinstriping would look good? Any idea where I can get the pinstriping? I would keep the red tail lamps for you CR Cooper. Yeah, it is a more seamless look. and you save money and your legal.
Does anyone know if my car is legal if I kept the 3rd brake light red?
