Ah.. just got my posting rights back!
I was pretty sure I would have to but upon further investigation, I was able to pull it off without removing the bumper.
It's a little hard to explain but...
There are two large bolts that drive from the bottom of the spoiler vertically through the front bumper (plastic portion, must be drilled). The problem most experience is being able to place the backing which consists of a washer and locking nut from the top portion of the bumper which there is little access to secure the bolts. I was able to pull the plastic back and stick a wrench in the small opening over the nut and tighten using a torx wrench from the bottom.
That probably did not make sense at all but probably would with a diagram. Main thing is that it IS definitely possible without removing the bumper.

Overall it wasn't bad but there was some minor pitting on the underside and the finish looks so so. The major plus is that i have not had one rock chip yet! It's extremely durable and fits the bumper well. I gave it a 75% based on overall value...

nice photos...i went with a d.u.z. from japan which i like because it mounts securely under the bumper to the supports for the radiator and doesn't extend the length of the car...it's a lot harder to install, but it can handle the occasional snowplow (reality tested)...mscmike, all lips are a little ugle unless it's a garbino...i think that's part of the purpose...it's unique, it makes the car a little less cute and it may have some function, so aesthetics take a back seat
