I still have mine, I keep it in the boot in case I'm ever lost in the middle of nowhere & need my radio. I replaced it with a little rubber grommet to plug the hole.

I had a CravenSpeed stubby, but I get demonstrably-better FM reception with the stock antenna, so I put it back on.

^^^^^Just one of the reasons I hung onto mine, but does anyone know of a different antenna that gives good reception like the OEM? The Honda S2000 (another OEM) comes closest.

I don't even listen to FM anymore since I got the Blitzsafe XM direct (shameless plug because I love it so much), but I just like the look of the stock one so much.

Everyone keeps the OEM antenna, they have to hang on to it for when they put the car back to stock to sell. I like the RC car antenna. I NEVER listen to the radio anymore, it is all about the iPod. In case I take out the iPod and forget to put it back I have 1 mp3 disc that I listen to. Sometimes I will listen to AM but not that often at all.

If I was going to get rid of my OEM antenna I would get the shark fin for the nav cars. When I get my cabrio there will be no antenna at all! I plan on getting rid of the pod and filling the panel. I will have a Mac MINI setup in it so there will be no need for the head unit let alone the antenna.

What's FM? (lol)

The geek that I am, I actually have a strategy that dictates which antenna (1 OEM, 2 two "stubbies" for a total of 3) or "none at all" I mount in given situations.

The ultimate in you-i-fied!

I briefly swapped with my wife's Santa Fe (funny how a truck had a shorter and stubbier antennae), but ended up keeping the stocker. Decided that I'm content with the way it came.

At least you all have the option. Some Jackass snapped off my OEM and the dealership out here tried to get what was left in the treading out but couldn't. They, of course, offered to replace the whole thing for $400. I think the stock one is nice for the R/C look, but it, like most things for our minis, is a matter of personal taste.

I already have my 2" stubby from Alta but I might have to rethink that decision after hearing about the things you can hang off the OEM antenna.
Maybe I'll alternate.

I have the OEM antenna. First, because I like the look of it, Second, great place to show off the antenna ball, and third, since I have Sirius satellite radio, I don't use it so why pay to replace it?

Both have OEM antennas....both have antenna *****. Sure helps find them in the parking lots and adds to the character.
