Am I the only one that's keeping the OEM antenna?

I feel like everyone else has aftermarket antennas. I really like mine, but I feel like eventually because of how cheap all of the other ones are that I'll wind up switching it out.

Anyone have a Mini with a decent amount of mods on it and keep the factory antenna?

I don't think there is anything amiss with the OEM antenna - not even a mod I've considered really, and I'll consider almost any mod that is as easy to put back to stock as that

I'm keeping mine... primarily because I don't even want to chance interference for the factory Nav... but also because... hey, it's OEM... and my car is Mr. OEM.

I have a factory antenna on my car, though I painted it yellow. I like the "RC car" look it gives.

Reminds me to put Jack Reinder ball on my stock antenna.

In-your-face mounting for Jack antenna ball.

I kept my stock antenna, even though it's bent slightly from my roll over.

I purchased a stubby antenna, had it on for about three weeks, and put the OEM antenna back on...ended up I liked the look of the OEM better. That was about seven months ago.

Anyone want a stubby... cheap ?

I had a stubby antenna and some one broke it off and damaged the base. I replaced the base, which was a PITA, so now I'm going to keep mt OEM. I wish I could have caught the ---hole that broke it off.

Yes me, and I will not change it. It's just a black thing that sits on top of the car.
Changing it won't make my MCS handle any better or make it go faster.

I swapped out the stock antenna for a black stubby. It suits my MINI much better.
YES .... I do fly R/C and full scale. Radio reception seems to be the same.

I have my family send me replacement Jack ***** every 4-6 months!! Too bad there aren't many Jack in the Box eateries in North Carolina!! I like the idea of the little clown ball up on the antenna laughing at all the Nederlanderers behind me!!!

Cheers!!

GPMINI still has the "R/C" antenna - I like the look, I guess I'm used to it after 5+ years of MINI driving.
I just ordered a nice looking Union Jack antenna topper for it; we'll see what it looks like on the car ... but no stubby for me!

yes . . . and no.
I still have the OEM -- but it's gotten a wire-cutter trim:

. . . and I haven't noticed a change in reception.

I still have the OEM on mine and like it. I have seriously considered a stubby but didnt want my MINI to get a complex over it!
