Interior/Exterior Replacing OEM Bonnet Stripes?

Replacing OEM Bonnet Stripes?
Hello. I was wondering if it was really difficult to replace the OEM standard bonnet stripes? My bonnet stripes look corroded in some areas. I think the original owner let bird poop sit on the bonnet stripes for too long before washing it off...
Which brings me back to... are they hard to replace? I really like the look of these bonnet stripes from Aesthetic Creations:
And if anybody is wondering, I wouldn't be doing the installation myself. If I did it, I know it'd come out crooked! I was going to take it to a body shop.

It's not hard... just take your time getting the OEM stripes off. Installation as a DIY is really easy, especially on a "S" since you have the hood scoop to take measurements from. The trick is to tape the bonnet stripes to the car with masking tape first, then only after you're completely certain they're even (measure them three times, using the washer nozzles and the hood scoop as a reference point) do you then peel off half of the backing strip and apply, then peel the other half off and smooth it down. I have a bonnet stripe DIY how-to stickied at the top, I believe, and the technique is exactly the same...

its really not too bad. The install just takes time and patience. I removed my bonnet stripes just 3 days ago and replaced them with aesth creation stripes.
Mike does quality work. Like I said its just patience you need. Mine were double viper pinstriped stripes so it was about tip top in the difficulty scale and I got it done just fine as a first timer.

my old stripes were only on for about a year(not very long on the age scale).
It was a very simple procedure. Just use a hairdryer and heat the vinyl at the top(close to the window) and peel back the vinyl SLOWLY as you heat the stripe ahead of the point you are about to pull. Mine came off in 5 mins tops but i think it really depends on how long they have been on the car
here is a detailed thread for removal>>https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=88739
and heres a photo of the finished product. Feel free to PM if you have any more questions/advice
