i had been seeing a few car on here with it done to em but none yet on a ps. i kinda like the stock looke better but this will grow on me. i have a beltline blackout kit on the way so it should be on by the end of he week. after that what chrome isleft will be staying, it breaks up the silver imo. when the money comes around it will be getting lowered cause that wheel gap is getting more and more ugly everytime i see it lol.
also, does anyone know where the thread is that had alot of pages with pics of cars with fog/driving lights. i have been looking for it and cant seem to find it.
accually isnt vinyl, it is krylon fusion satin black. i have very little experience with vinyl and tried doing it but just couldnt get it to lay down without bubbles and wrinkles, even with a heat gun.
Did you take the vents out or mask it inside the chrome frame? It'll still chip over time (damn rocks) which is the benefit of vinyl - you can always just put a fresh piece on.

the chrome pieces just snap off and you can pull them off. after that the upper section pulls off the same way the chrome does but the 3 bars are the one piece made together. the lower has a couple of loose fitting clips but is mainly held on with double sided tape. i pulled every thing off the car and wet sanded it with 800grit paper. i sprayed the 2 pieces with krylon fusion paint for plastic. i have used it before and it has never cracked on me like alot of spray paints will in the winter even if flexing very little. this stuff also is fairly good about not chipping, if anything it just scrapes.
also forgot to add that i had to get a roll of 3m double sided tape for the lower bar.
I always love the blacked out grill on almost anything. That looks killer on the silver car...
A black grill even helped a '85 Chevy Caprice Sport Coupe* that I drove for a few years in college. It was available after my folks bought a 1994 Impala SS!
I did my grill last week with black out tape and really like the contrast. It doesn't show up as well on Dark Silver as it does on lighter colored cars and really looks good on yours.
Very nice. It works much better with your wheels than the chrome.
the grill was originally just silver like the car but i thought it was kinda bland. i now also have the beltline blacked out and it looks even that much better imo.
