Nice job!
Though I must say that it's somewhat visually distracting that the 'in-scoop' is offset to where the intercooler actually sits, but the 'out-scoop' is centered in the hood.
Did you create a drain for the bottom deflector?
The Scoop "In" inlet area is actually centered on the inter-cooler while the extractor opening is wider than the inter-cooler on the driver side. The deflector is open on one side to let water drain past the important stuff.
I have not installed the deflector yet as I am waiting for a valve cover to refinish and do both at the same time. I powder coated the deflector and stock brackets as shown here
Thanks for the idea RallyMini. I am going to try the M7 mount first. They included standoffs with the kit to get the diverter right up to the scoop.
I'll take some measurements and go from there. It won't rain here until April
After with headlight rings painted and M7 Scoop installed
In this image it looks as if there are gaps. Is this just an artifact of the lighting or are there really gaps between the hood and the exit scoop?
Could you take some photos along the plane of the hood please. I'm curious how much this stands off. We keep seeing top down photos. I'd like to see some from the front and side. Close ups would be best.
The edges are pretty tight. The center has the gap shown ( enough to slide
a piece of paper through, but not more). I don't know if it could have been manufactured better or ground to fit better. It isn't bothering me. I hope that it doesn't offend anyone.
looks good. i probalby wouldnt want one on my car cause i like the smooth blend look.so i guess the stock look..
but props for you..still does look awesome indeed
