PICS !! Dr Evil's Final Transformation.
Final ? I think so. But only time will tell.
If you've been following The Doctor's transformation, you know he started out looking like this:
You saw the white stripes come off. Some of you wanted him to be left nekkid. Sorry... He got new stripes with wide red pinstriped edges.
You also saw Dr Evil get Redline Goods perforated red leather boots...
UJ Cabrio Headrest Decals...
Matching Center Wheel Caps...
Matching Warning Label Covers...
And a nice, fresh detailing with Prima Swirl, Amigo, and Epic.
Now... the final (?) touches.
Doctor Evil's new driving lights and his new name tag:
And... custom designed, by yours truly, with some help from Mike at AC.... door sill plates:
Thanks for checking on on this final installment of "Dr Evil's Transformation".
By the way, Dr Evil also got a new toupee (ragtop), courtesy of MINI of Towson.
I think Roxanne is going to have to let me mod her PW MINI now because I've run out of aesthetic mods on two of our three MINIs.

Thanks, all.
Oh yeah, forgot about the sig needing updated. Gotta have those driving lights on there. And maybe Craig can get the "DR EEVL" tag to show up too. Thanks for the reminder, '81.
Yeah, Blimey, Mike makes a quality product there. With the doming material he uses, I suspect those door sill plates will last as long as the car. Especially since they only see about 10 seconds of daylight per day.

It's an '05 convertible... the first year they were made. MINI has a service bulletin out that the 05 ragtops show wear patterns due to improperly padded (ie, not padded) roof brackets. Mine was showing some of those wear marks. If you look at those top two pics, you can see some of those grayish spots I'm talking about.

Here's how it looks from behind today. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them though because they might be too much, as you say.

No plans for performance mods. That beast already has enough horses and outstanding handling. After driving the Autobahns for seven years, I already have enough problems keeping the speedometer out of triple digits. I certainly don't need any more temptation than Dr Evil dishes out now.
