making speaker door pods
i wanted more mids and highs
it will be flush with the door panel pretty much.
this is a layout of how its going to be glassed. the top speaker is just holding the door panel down for the pic, lol.

I wouldn't think there would be enough room in between the seat and door panel to actually make it sound good...
Won't a lot of the acoustics get sucked in and absorbed by the seat? I mean, I can tell a big difference in the sound of my speakers by placing my leg in front of the driverside speaker, and then removing it. Just my opinion, but I'm sure whether it sounds crisp or not, it's going to be loud as hell in there

i agree, the speakers are 20 bux each, theyre pretty loud, and theyre clear. its not gonna be a SQ car by any means, im just going for LOUD. the 2 back speakers by the seat you wont be able to hear, i agree, but its more or less just to make it look symetrical, and i dont want to mess with re installing the bottom trim piece that goes around the oval opening of the door panel, ya know?
id rather just make a complete pod along the whole door panel and leave that bottom trim piece off instead of fooling with it trying to get it to look flush or anything with the pod.
also just for at shows to, youll deff hear it when the doors are open
before i was just gonna do the 4 mids and tweets behind me in the wall, but i decided to do this
i gotta notch the inside of the door (the metal) to let the magnet go through a little. i didnt want to, but im going to notch is as little as possible.

i know, im gonna make this one first, if it comes out bad, ill have to get another panel from a junkyard, but i think its going to come out good once i get the fiberglass pod made and mounted on the door (covering it in matching vinyl to match the interior most likely)
i have it all planned out how its going to look though, its just a matter of time, i need to get it made. i think you would look it when im done, i know right now the door looks like ***, but its just for the magnets to clear thru the door
