MCS lip on MC

I currently have a 2003 mc, but prefer the lip from the mcs over mine. Can I just purchase the larger mcs lip and bolt it to my mc bumper, OR do i have to have the complete MCS bumper? I cant really tell a difference in the bumpers, only the lip....

here's pics of what im talking about, i hope FPM doesnt mind me using his pics

You would go with the MCS bumper. I think it would look great, go for it!

He would still need to install the MCS bumper in order to fit the strassentech lip.

You do need to install the MCS bumper if you want the OEM MCS lip....they aren't interchangeable as they are very different shapes.

The MCS bumper does look great on MC's though....imo:

thanks guys, just the info I was looking for... Now does anyone know where to purchase a MCS front bumper online for a good price? Cheapest I've seen is on ebay, for around 500 plus painted.

Best bet is either ebay or the for-sale section here. I've seen them anywhere from 200-500 Or you could ask your dealer or any MINI aftermarket places in your area to see if they perhaps have any pre-painted ones lying around from aerokit installs.

I don't mind at all. The lip, actually valence is different on both models. I had to buy the bumper and the black plastic valence, but I wanted the bumper anyway.

I did the same swap a few months ago. MCS front bumber to a MC.. Call around to all your dealers for a factory take off. Got mine for $150 then had it painted. Have since gone aero kit.
