Options with CR/W

I have a mc40 and I was wondering what are some nice looking visual options. I have always liked the Chili Red with black roof and sometimes wish I had a black roof. Lets see some nice pictures of red and white in harmony.

I've found it good to play up some of the white/highlights with stripes and polished wheels....as well as accent some of the darker areas with checks and a black grille.

I think RallyMINI has the best looking Cooper I've ever seen.

I'm gonna shoot a pix of my roof later and post it here and in another thread- Red MCS with ACS body kit and japanese rising sun roof. Actually debating about a CF roof decal though

Seriously Rally, I love the look of the rim and tire combo you got. Can you tell me a bit more about it? I am riding on 18's right now, but wouldn't mind going a lot smaller for a look similar to yours.

Thanks,
John

Ok - here's two shots of my rising sun roof graphic. Car has white roof. I actually started wondering if it would look cool to fill in white with either black or CF

Yeah, those BBS rims with the stretched tires look amazing, and the wider set bonnet stripes & checkered roof really make it special, love Rally's car. That's the way to do chili red & white.

I was considering the checkerboard but wasnt sure how that would look with the crome mirror caps.
I think RallyMINI has the best looking Cooper I've ever seen.

Tint the windows....it really helps break the white away and makes the cr/w look better.....

I have already got 15% percent all around my car. How do you think the checkerboard would look with the chrome mirror caps? Would I have to change them

I tend to not like the coopers much either, but if you get the aero kit and stripes, then I think they can look badass, even on 15 inch wheels. In fact, I have my S on 15's right now for winter (holies), and even though it changes the look of the car, it still kinda looks badass, even on chunky tread snowtires.

Thanks. I have had none whatsoever. I have had it on for over three years now, never been stopped for it.

How much did painting that roof cost you? I was thinking about it but something tells me it just might not be right to paint a mc40. I could be wrong though. What do you guys think in the long run better for the value of the car with original roof or custom black?

It cost me $450.00. My thinking is you can always paint it white again. I really don't think it will affect value that much anyway, they will go by the VIN and if there is any collectability to being an MC40 the car can always be returned to stock. By the way, painting the roof is the least of my "keep it stock" worries.

The seats are Sparco Milano, recovered to look like JCW seats. They were about 1300.00 each before reupholstery. It is impossible to get the actual JCW seats over here unless you go through a private party or ebay. So I found the closest thing to them. I guess Sparco now makes the exact seat as the JCW, I forget what it is called.
