Attn: Joey-MOD people - can you take a measurement for me??

Can someone measure this INTERIOR diameter for me when they have their lights apart please? Measurements in millimeters, if you can. Thanks!!

Also, is this ring the same sizer on the xenons as the halogens? I need the measurement for XENONS if so...

PS - a shot of the back side of this piece would be really, really helpful as well - I have an idea.

Thanks again!

Oh... just a bit of lighting madness - you know me. Let's see if it's even possible first before I spill the beans. It will mostly depend on what the back of the housing looks like, actually....

Drilling out making LED Angel eyes? I've thought about it, but not keen on opening my lights up.

Nice one!

Here you go.
Sorry for the quality was in a bit of a hurry this morning.
Also, as you can see I'm still working on removing the chrome part around the Xenon housing, that is roughly 51/4 inches, will get a more precise measurement for you once I get that off.
If you need any other angles or measurements, let me know.
As for the other parts, here you go...

so I measured the spacing for me, you'll have to forgive me though, I kind of moched up the second pic since yet again I was in a rush this morning.
The larger measurement was roughly 5 3/4

Roughly 3 3/4

Update on my Xenon Mod...

The lights are still in my trunk, rings awaiting a light sanding and final coat of paint. + Clearcoat.

Wanted to show the finished pics of the paint job done yesterday.
Thanks Gnat...your tips helped out and the paint looks great.

Which H7 bulbs are those?

FYI, mine looks better now for some reason. The wrinkling went away and everything is smooth again. The only issue is on the ribbed area around the Highbeam( I have the preface lift lights) it still looks like the misaligned bulb just burned off some of the paint between the ribs. That or I just missed a spot! Either way, easy fix, just need time to re-open and take care of it.

Is that body color?

I got the bulbs from bimmian.com, I have the brand at home but can't remember the exact name off hand.

Glad to hear that the wrinkling has worked itself out. If your having alignment issues...you know there are two adjusters on the back side of the light housing. One adjusts up/down the other left/right.
You should be able to re-align pretty easily.

I used body color for the headlight rings and got a Black with silver speckle paint for the inside parts, turned out really nice. I still have to do a light sanding of the rings tonight...one more light coat of paint and then a clear coat to finish it all off.

Looks nice.

Off topic question. How do you like those angle eye parking lights? I have been looking at getting some but all the pics I have seen make them look really blue, and I'm looking to match the xenons.
