I didn't realize anyone had tried this, but I actually considered doing the hood of my wife's old car with RhinoLiner; stone chips would be a thing of the past.

Minus the stickers, that paint job is badass.
But you need these rims:

If/when I get another Wrangler, you'd better believe I'll pulling the drainplugs and carpet out and spraying the interior. I had my carpet replaced 3x under warranty due to faulty windshield header seals (at the base of the folding windshield). Mildew smell no more!

Yes I know Alex very well. I was asking all those questions in the ECU thread because we're driving down to FL in January and I need to be able to keep up.
So it's a matte black wrap of vinyl. You can see seams and that kind of thing up close but it doesn't bother me. If you're the **** type this isn't for you. It looks like crap when dirty but again doesn't bother me because it always looks evil. Cost was $1500 to wrap it. Garage419 is my internet show I do. www.garage419.com You can do car washes but just have to be touch less. Of course no waxing. 7 year warranty. And when I go to get rid of the car the paint will be perfect. But yeah the car looks incredible now. I had ordered black sight unseen. When Astro wannabe black came I was pissed. Now the car looks proper.
Now I just need tints, rims, black out them sidemarkers, and those red LED's.

think about the cost of doing a clear bra on the car. $700 +/-
and thats only doing maybe 1/5th of the car.
doing the entire car requires a lot of labor, and much more material.
actually, i'm curious what mil thinckness the black vinyl was.

I'll try and find out. They used a 30inch roll. They could have gotten their hands on a larger roll, providing fewer seams, but it would have been more than double the price.
But yeah when you look at what people get charged for clearbra it's actually quite a deal. And as you can see they did everything. The mirrors are starting to peel. When I picked it up the guy said it was damn near impossible to get them done. He did a good job but it lasted 48 hours. Looks like I need some CF caps.
...and garage419 paid for it...not me.
