Interior/Exterior hella placement on lower grill area....
#1
i was really thinking of putting some large hellas, mayb 2 smaller ones on the outside and 2 large ones in the middle of the lower grill on the front of my car... has anyone ever considered this or thought of this...?
anyways, i think it would look really good, to have that area filled w/ lights...
anyone have links for hellas or a hella-like light that isnt so expensive??
i was looking for a light shop, but couldnt find one, anyone know how to do any of thes things?

I agree, the bumper/lower grill placement is superior for large/four light configurations. Hella and PIAA are my two lights of choice, but I still haven't brought myself to buy and mount such a system yet. The uppergrill mounting is too lightweight for a bar and four lights, resulting in too much vibration of the lights while in use. I'd like to see a fiberglass shell for the hood similar to what PIAA has done in classic Minis, available for the new MINI. Also has anyone gone the Monte Carlo route and placed a single spotlight on the roof?

I added 4 lights a few weeks ago, after seeing the same set up growing up so i put them on mine .
It was way easy to do..even for me.Very secure no vibrate shake with the light.
Makes her stand out, and the drive home now is the high 'light' of my day....sorry could not resist.
Check out my sig belowand the larger pictures are in the member mini gallery.
Any questions just ask

>>OK Bignose (what a moniker, no I don't want to know why.)

>>It looks convincing. What kit, how much, where is it available?
I had them sent from Minisport in england, With shipping it was around 400dollars i got them in 3 days..yep three days. It took me around 2-3 hours to fit. The bracket mounts to the bumber mounting so they are very secure.
When you look at the picture on th eweb site they show a different configuration. But i like mine better.

I tried to get more pictures on this for a while - no response at all.
I would like the rally lights on my car, but not on the hood. I know, lovering them takes away a lot of light, but it is only way I will ever do it. Just need more pictures how to attach them - lazy to invent it on my own.
So thanks fo starting this forum
