VHT is a liquid and won't work since the lens is curved. It will run due to gravity. Trust me - it was a b$tch to spray my wheel arch reflectors.
They joey-mod is my last mod I want to do but...I'm too much of a Þussy to do it - maybe if we had a joey party up here in NY/NJ/CT area I would do it with other experienced people who have already done it....but not on my own....(not yet at least)

So after al long time of thinking, I did the job today Was a very easy job thanks to all the good instuctions in this topic took out the headlights, put them in the oven for 5 minutes @ 80 degrees celcius, and with no force the glass went off, took them further apart, and sprayed the parts in high temp resistent paint in flat black, and put the sprayed parts back in the oven for baking the paint. after that put them back together in the oven so the sealing closses again. and put them back in the clubman. looks great Shall take some pictures tomorrow of the result its dark outside now

hi maaij,
I didn't paint that part black you can't see that anymore when it is assembleded, I also didn't paint the ring around the lens, i my opinion it looks beter, and another tip, you heat resitent flat black paint and dry it in the oven , then you don't have the problem of blistering,
succes

What paint did you used for your Joey mod?

Yeah kyrlon fusion does good for our halogens...I think I also applied Rustolium brand automotive primer...I had even used that combo on the metal light cap and nothing has bubbled and it's been over 8 months

This is something i would definitely want to do on my mini. I read through most of the thread but has anyone experience the lights fogging up afterwards?
My brother did something similar back in HS to his 98 honda accord. Opened up the headlights to clear them out. I guess they didnt seal it properly so every time you wash that car, the headlights fog up.

IIRC I think others just used the same glue that was on it from the factory - just reheat it and that's it - you might want to pick up some clear silicone to spread as well just to be safe.
I have yet to do this - I have to find someone I know willing to let me use their oven....my oven is so old I don't trust the "set" temperature.

Yep hair dryer to soften the glue to take it off and to reapply.
Yes there is plenty for it to go back perfectly sealed. Have had mine like this about a year now and not once had any type of fogging/condensation
