I saw a MINI this weekend with a nice blue leather shift boot and cool shift **** as well. I am attached to the stock ****, but I was thinking that a red leather boot would sure look nice in my car. Does anyone know where I might pick one up? I know Moss and Mini Mania don't sell them.

Is this something that has to be bought specifically for the MINI, or can I go elsewhere? I have no idea how these things attach.

Thanks!

CSB, thanks! I'll search around on MINI2 and see if I can find it.

jman2000, thanks as well. I'm generally wary of ordering stuff from overseas, and I'm too cheap to pay much for shipping. Plus all I can see on that site is a bunch of question marks, which won't translate into anything. Maybe it's the way I have my browser set. I wasn't aware of that Altavista translator, though - very easy to use!

I, too, have been looking. The red leather must coordinate with the MINI red interior, which can be difficult. The red in the MINI appears to be very close to the "Classic Red" I had in my '95 BMW. I haven't found one yet, either.

TonYarrow - more info on this please. I'm trying to also get a red leather shift boot. I visited the NMC site and I couldn't find anything on shift boots. Their site has is hard to navigate through by the way, but I like what they are holding. So please let me know the details for these custom shift boots. THANKS

I'm ordering shift boot and brake lever boot! I think I just want them to say "MINI". I'm less concerned with matching the red because I have leatherette interior, not the red tartan.

they're $40 apiece, a few bucks off if there's enough interest to make a bunch at one time.

MOMO sells colored ebrake handles, shift *****, and even boots.
Here ae some pictures. I havebeen trying to decide on a colored handle with
a colored boot.
I like the brushed aluminum look better than the chrome or black. Matches the
interior better I think.

OOhhhhh.... Nice, did you get to choose what font you wanted to use for your name? I want to use my own font, is that possible? Can I see the pictures of your floor mats too? Thanks Ton.

Hmm, now I'm reconsidering ordering the NMC boots. The leather looks awfully rubbery and shiny, not soft and crinkly like the stock boot. TonYarrow, can you post a pic of it installed when you get it? The MOMO ones look more like what I want. Where can I look those up? Thanks, MiniMac!

You sure that's leather? It looks like "Pleather"
I think it looks cheap.

The MOMO leather looks like nice quality leather.
Not sure abut the price difference though.

I learned so much after spending $3000 on the interior of my 64 SS Chevelle.
You get what you pay for.

If I were you guys, I would check with a Interior shop who does a lot of Hot Rods.
They know all about the different material and wil explain the differences to you.

And I bet, you can get a sweet leather boot made by one for less than $90.
They do it all the time for street rods. I also know that you can get "Ultra Leather" for 1/2 the price of leather. It looks just like leather. In fact, it looks more like leather than that one does.
You could be in the $50 range now.

My opinions, but look into it. Don't take it just because you think it is the only place to get one.
