How To Remove Arm Rest Leather Pad???

Hi Guys, I got my arm rest pad clips broken so it slides for and back while driving. I ordered a new pad for replacement but I'm not sure of installation procedures. Would any one help guiding removing the existing and installing the new one??

If you slide the top open all the way, it then tips back at an angle. Then look inside and you'll see the two parts that protrude down and slide in the track. You can squeeze these together a tiny bit and the lid just lifts out. Repeat the process with new lid. Literally 30 second replacement that they'd charge you an hour of labor for at some places...

What did the 02-04 armrests look like?

I just removed my 06 armrest and have all the parts to retrofit it to an "armrest-less" car - which should also work to replace any older design (new console, new console bracket, etc.)

I'm referring to the arm rest on the door panel. Sorry for the confusion.
