Underground Stickers
Ive seen a few minis with stickers either on the front windshield or on the boot. The one im looking for is what I have been told is the underground sticker. Little decal bout 3 inches wide with a arrow pointing down in the middle and a broken circle around it. Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers.
Cheers.

I've seen your posts on the MISC. Hotness thread and other threads on Motoring Undergound, Steve. One I didn't see was the "how do i get a sticker" post, which
In my personal opinion, you are certainly "underground" material based on your posts thus far. As has already been said, the "underground" is more than just a forum. The first thing you've probably noticed is there are no ads, no online store, no freemium model, or even a "request for donations to keep the board up". To be honest, I have no idea how the site stays running. But I certainly appreciate it! The second thing you'll notice- which takes more than two weeks to figure out- is that it is very much a community- a "club"- that just happens to be mostly online. As a result, it usually takes more than two weeks of hanging out for stickers to show up in your mailbox. Then again, I'm just one of the bear-worthy peanut gallery and have no influence whatsoever (or stickers to send out!)
In full disclosure: I bought mine from Lyle after about a year of hanging out, once I felt worthy of repping the M|U. (You don't wanna have a Jets jacket and not be part of the Jets. You know- in case some Sharks decide to jump you! But I digress!) I paid the whole two dollars not because I was tired of waiting for my free sticker, but because it was less hassle, and also to send a couple bucks to a fellow MU.
Hope that clears things up on the whole "sticker" thing, and look forward to seeing you on the "other" board. :tu:
a) always gets the same responses you've seen here, times 20
and
b) is a good thing
unless
c) I missed it
As a fellow creative type, I'm sure you appreciate that *someone* has to pay to have the stickers printed and shipped, let them depreciate in a box in a corner and make sure a sibling doesn't steal a bunch of them, and then pay the postage to mail them out one at a time to new MU members. Once you hang out for awhile, you'll see how often someone comes in, makes one or two posts and says, "hey- where's my sticker?" and gets the same responses you've seen here, times 20 (note: I don't know who orders, prints, stores, or mails out the stickers).and

I learned the hard way....was over at Lyle's having some stuff done and noticed the MU stickers. I had just joined the site. I posted some pics of my car......while no one came right out and said anything......it was obvious I broke an unspoken rule......I removed the stickers.....but the damage is done. I like some of the insight on MU, but it's definitely a chat club for the chosen.....as Gnaster stated.....you don't choose MU, they choose you.......free world so I don't have a problem with it........

not true... all are welcome.
participation is the only thing that matters really. we like to be active.
there are plenty of stock MINIs on the underground. there are plenty of badass MINIs on the underground. however, you will probably not find any MINIs with chrome flame headlight covers and gold windshield wiper covers repping the MU.
*** to the nudity posting....dude, you have no idea. the **** way deep in that forum is mind boggling.

My comments are not meant to be negative....MU is a great site, and completely different from NAM, which is good! But there is an underlying "club" within the club, which as I already stated is cool with me and makes it special for them (which is all that matters). I respect the "brotherhood"

Pics of my car were put on the M/U site about a year 1/2 ago. One of the m/u bad boys deemed it fit to post on their Wierd and fugly car forum. They ripped my car and me a new booty. They have a certain type of Mini style in mind.If you don't fit that look. Your open game. I was honered that my baby made it to their forums. I can only hope and pray that one day my car will be accepted in their cool car forum.
