JCW Exhaust - how to make it louder

How do you make R53 JCW exhaust louder/deeper sound without failing smog?

Removing the center resonator is a cheap way to go, but it sounds a bit ricey.

I'm not worried so much about the cost for a resonator or header, I'm more concern about smog check. If I buy either one, will my car still pass smog check?

Isn't smog check a function of the CAT?

Anyway you could always set the center resonator up with a quick release fitting. Keep a straight pipe in there all year until it's time for smog check & swap in the resonator.

A resonatorectomy will not effect emmisions as it is "cat back". It does add more sound and lots more pop, pop, pop when you lift. good for the butt dyno
