i talked to my tint guy today and told him about what everyone posted here and he told me to bring my car back wednesday so he can redo it. i will be asking a lot of question before he starts working, if i dont like his answers i might be better off keeping the tint the way it is. im worried that he might make it worst. and if i do let him work on my car again i will be watching closely, i made a mistake of dropping my car off the first time.

Ryan,

I always stick around and wait while my car is being worked on too, even if it's an oil change. When I took Junior out to the tint shop, the guy asked me to park the MINI in his small garage (with roll up door entry). Then he asked that I wait outside and have a seat on a comfortable cushioned chair while he worked on Junior.

I asked why, and he said he needs to concentrate and doesn't want dirt to come into the room...it was a little windy that day. But still, what does that have to do with me being in the room. A little weird!

i totally understand ur mentality..i am just like that

the tint place i go to..mr T and lots of LA news anchors go there..they are very reputable.

when i got it tinted it was about 95 outside..they have a shaded place inside garage kind of thing wehre they do it..

and customers sit inside in the ac cooled room..and look through the window to see the cars

but i am so paranoid..i stood next to them the whole time..in the heat

i dont care

the mini i am not so concered about, but some of my other cars were a bit pricier

Hey I have tinted windows for years. In my twenties I did it for a living and now just for my own personal cars and house. Sometimes I'll do a friends car. But when I did my MINI it was the easiest car I have ever tinted. If a shop is having a hard time or anyone with tinting experience is having a problem, then go some place else right away and don't look back. This car can be tinted by a blind guy with one arm if he takes his time.

hello! problem solved..... tint guy took off the old tint and put a new one on (one piece) in about 40 min. i checked his work and im more than satisfied. the guy is pretty cool about it too (redo) but i wont be going back there again. one bad experience is enough for me. again, many thanx to the community, it made my argument prrrretty easy.
