Light bars

First thing is first does the Palo Uber Light bar come with the lights or not? Other than that what one would you go with Alta or Palo Uber? Also If you have pictures with them on your Mini could you post a few.

Jed, I suggest you do a few searches here on NAM to help your research prior to pulling the trigger.

Keep in mind the numerous red flags concerning PU's reputation for product quality and customer service. Here's a few suggested threads for research (courtesy of Motor On in another thread); you can draw your own conclusions:

As for rally light bar photos, check these out:

And, if you're in a mandatory front license tag state, you can check out my gallery for my own two-light install as another option (it's a partial Alta set-up, so you know up front where my loyalty between the two vendors lies).

Good luck with your lighting mod!

I have the ALTA bar with only half the lights, because NY requires a front license plate. Since my plate is personalized, I don't mind, but it would be cool to have twice as much light output!

I do find the two that I have installed are really helpful on those pitch black country roads.

ALTA didn't make me buy the entire kit; I only had to buy one pair of the lamps, so I saved a little off their advertised price. If you give them a call, you can probably do the same thing, should you need to keep your front plate as well...

You can run four lights and a front plate. Ditch the black mount and move the plate so that the bottom of the plate screws in where the two top holes were. Here's what I mean with PU bar and a europlate:

The Palo Uber bar does not come with the lights and it will not work if you have an aero kit. Their reputation is not too stellar, but the light bar is probably the one thing they do have that is an exceptional product. It bolts to the front using existing bolts so there is no drilling and it is mounted down inside of the bumper so it is not visible. The wiring harness it comes with makes it very easy to wire also. I used the Hella 500's that I found on ebay for a great price. We had this bar on the car until we switched to an aero kit and loved it. It was so strong that the car could be lifted with it. It is the one product that Palo Uber got right.

Ok well I think I'm going to go with Alta, since I don't want a problem and Palo Uber is Uber Pricey! One last thing I just thought of, anyone put OEM driving lights with 4 on the Alta bar, if so post a pic! Thanks!

There was indeed, and in fact I have one. And in fact you can still get them (just checked). They arent always there, they seem to come and go, but if you dont mind figuring out some of the install for yourself it is a great option. Here are some pictures:
